This is my second pair. I use to wear Vans Chima Ferguson for years. Being over 50 yrs old I don’t get into the new style of sneakers. But Vans pretty much stopped selling them and then came back and changed the look. Not for me, so I looked at several other styles and found these. They look great, fit great, and I can wear them with just about any type of pants.
I wear a size 13 in just about every shoe or boot out there, typical exception being boots - for whatever reason, I'm a 12 in them. That said, I really liked the look of these, so I ordered the largest size available, the 13 I know generally works. Problem, they run SMALL, thus when I rocked them to work, my feet were screaming at me. My son, 14, wears a size 12, he apparently liked the look of these too, odd considering his tastes typically run to Jordan and Timberland, but whatever, he wore these, liked them, and hasn't given them back. So, they're his now, and I'm not returning them, just know they run a bit on the small side if you're one of the bigger footed folks like me.
Idk what it is with DC but they are one of the biggest hit or miss shoe companies out there with no consistency in the actual sizes between the different shoes they make. I was extremely excited when I found these and ordered in my size (13) when the came in and I tried them on though I couldn't even get the first one on all the way before it felt like my foot was being forced into a shoe for children. I wear a 13, ordered a 13, got a 13, and I couldn't even get the shoes on.
I’ve been wearing size 9.5 DC shoes since the 90s. They always fit me. These were the first pair that didn’t fit. The toe area is super narrow and too tight for me.
