One good thing about these things is they have assisted with my walking experience, by keeping me from cutting my feet on bits of broken glass, and preventing me from direct skin exposure to dog feces on hot days and freshly surfaced worms searching for integumentary respiratory relief on stormy days. For that, I assign them 5 stars out of 100, only because I am unable to give them their appropriate 63 star rating on this online merchant platform. It's possible there are other products that would accomplish the same, but these "shoes" are the product offering I settled on, and I am satisfied with that decision.
I'll start by saying that I got these for less than $30 and, for that amount, these are a steal. I got the dark green/olive pair with the gum sole and they look really nice with basically any casual outfit in earthy tones. The canvas material means it's a shoe you can basically beat up all you want and clean fairly easily. I'm not a skater, so I don't know how well these fare for that purpose, and I don't think I would wear these shoes for walking all day, but if you can find them on sale you just can't go wrong with these. They run true to size (as long as you're width is Medium) and came with a pair of white laces and a pair of black laces with tiny orange accents throughout (which are not shown in the pictures) that match the embroidered Element logo on the shoe itself.
Great shoes!Thank uThe best thing for myself is that there is more then 1 color option,Every 6 months - new shoes 😊
Ordered a 7.5 US which is what i wear in all my other usual brands (Van's, converse, Nike, Adidas). They seem almost a complete size bigger, and the toe box seems wide aswell. I got them for a deal, and to skate in so I'm not completely disappointed. But just want to give a heads up! Initial quality seems nice, just big. Will try to exchange for smaller size
These run about 1/2 size too small.
I got this shoes on sale with 50% off and I'm so glad I did my husband love's em highly recommend this shoes no doubt
Of course, the original use of "on point" was with regard to ballet shoes, so maybe I should rethink my headline....Regardless, although you wouldn't want to wear these shoes doing ballet, they're great for many other things! These shoes from Element are basic, everyday shoes bearing a resemblance to the classic Vans skater shoes... although Irvine, CA-based Element has been around for 30 years now, they're still a touch under the radar to the general public. Hopefully that will change, as these shoes are the equal of the more well-known model.Made with organic cotton, recycled rubber, recycled polyester, and a real suede leather upper, and including an extra set of different-style shoelaces, it's a wonder Element is able to keep these things affordable.I ordered my standard size, and found that these fit just a LITTLE tightly, with my big toe hitting the end of the toe box just a LITTLE more than I would have liked. If I was in a store I would have tried the 11-1/2s as well, and probably gone with those. If I ruled the world, I'd have them custom-make an 11-1/4 for me. :)The suede uppers felt stiff and unyielding at first, but even by the end of the first day of wearing, they had started to "give" a little. Very comfortable in that way! There isn't really any arch support to speak of, so if you are at all active it might not be the best idea to wear these all the time. [Unless you're a skater, of course].Absolutely worth a try if you like the style!
