Purchased these to use as my mountain bike trail shoes. Considered to be "skate shoes"...they work fantastic as the soles are firm and offer great traction and control on the pedals. Compared to "mountain bike shoes" which are identical and made by Adidas but branded and 5-10...these cost HALF of what the Adidas are selling for in Amazon. I have had several pairs of this brand and have always been happy with the fit, finish and comfort.
I grew up in the late 80s and early 90s. Skate shoes were very popular around where I grew up. I wanted something familiar, comfortable and easy to wear. I searched around a bit then found these. They fit me great and feel like my high school years.. 😉 Love them and thinking about buying a second set just in case these wear out and they stop making them.
I wear shoes out quickly but these shoes have are nice quality ,definitely worth the money
Not intended to be laced tight let the heavy padding hold your foot snuggly. Have gotten very wet a few times and are holding up well. Soles are not as soft as some shoes but are also not wearing poorly.
As a casual skateboarder (okay, fine, I'm not very good, but I can ollie...sometimes), I'm always on the lookout for a comfortable and stylish skate shoe. And let me tell you, the Etnies Kingpin did not disappoint.Pros:First of all, these shoes are stylish as heck. The classic Etnies logo and sleek design make me feel like a legit skater (even if I'm just cruising around the neighborhood). And the comfort level is off the charts - I could wear these babies all day long and my feet wouldn't even know they're in a skate shoe. The padded tongue and collar provide excellent support, and the STI Foam Lite Level 1 footbed is like a little cloud for your feet. But wait, there's more! The Etnies Kingpin is also a great value. Compared to some of the other skate shoes on the market, these are a steal. And with a durable rubber outsole and triple-stitched toe cap, they'll hold up to even the gnarliest of skate sessions (or just regular old walking around, if that's more your speed).Cons:The only downside to the Etnies Kingpin is that they make me feel like a bit of a poser. I mean, I'm not exactly shredding the half-pipe or grinding rails here - I'm just a regular guy who happens to like the look and feel of skate shoes. But hey, if feeling like a poser is the price I have to pay for comfort and style, I'll take it.The Etnies Men's Kingpin Skateboarding Shoe is made of a combination of leather and synthetic materials, with a rubber sole. It comes in a variety of colors to suit your personal style, and is available in sizes 5-14.Whether you're a seasoned skater or just someone who appreciates a comfortable and stylish shoe, the Etnies Kingpin is a great choice. It's affordable, durable, and will make you feel like a skateboarding king (or just a regular guy, if that's more your thing). Just be prepared to feel a little bit like a poser - but hey, isn't that just part of the fun?
Fits well. Shoes are very comfortable and well made. Great "regular" shoes instead of buying $300 clown looking shoes
It is so hard to find this brand, style and size shoe. My son doesn't wear anything else! So glad I can find them here!
Looking for a comfortable, yet easy to step into shoe for casual wear. This one fulfills all of my requirements. Now, we’ll see how long it wears, as often low budget (economical) shoes fail in short order. However, the construction appears promising … time will tell.
