You’ll be skateboarding, working out, or chillaxin’ in style when you tie on Globe's Superfly sneaker. The sharp upper features thick laces for security. Contrast trim makes for a cool but not overdone style, and the rubber sole will keep you sure footed even as you are kickin’ it at the skate park. At Globe they have a healthy disrespect for the established way of doing things, and they embrace new ways of looking at the world. For them, it's always a time for change. In this day and age they’ve adopted a KNOW HOPE philosophy, whereby they are looking at the future with wide eyes and taking every opportunity to be creative. Globe team riders, who happen to be some of the best in the world, are a party to the products, but Globe also listens to their customers, constantly evolving with them, so they don't lose their edge. It's what keeps them inspired, progressive and able to stay fresh when so many others are pushing the same-old sameness.

The first thing I noticed when trying on the left shoe was that there was a bump on the bottom inside to the front. I tried flattening the bump, thinking that this was just a factory oddity that had a simple fix. It turned out that flattening the bump didn't work at all, and the bump remained a problem that would make wearing the shoe uncomfortable. I couldn't imagine skateboarding for very long at all without my foot becoming uncomfortable, or even walking for very long at all without my foot being uncomfortable. The right shoe fit just okay, and seemed to have a rather sung fit for a size 11. The obvious yet important thing Globe either doesn't realize or doesn't care about about a pair of shoes, is that BOTH shoes need to be able to fit, not just one. I can't help but wonder if the people working at quality control at Globe's factory are doing their job correctly, or even if Globe has any people working in quality control at all. I wasn't charged a shipping or restocking fee when I created a return for this item, and I was refunded the price of the shoes, the tax, and the cost to have the shoes shipped to me. I'd recommend shipping your order back too if you received shoes in the same or similar condition to the ones I got. If you're looking for some good skate shoes, I'd recommend getting a pair by World Industries. I owned a pair of World Industries shoes over 5 years ago, and they fit great and had no factory defects at all.
Recent injuries made me seek a mid top over my normal shoes. I like the velcro strap for added support. It's a good overall shoe, just got it so can't attest to its durability, but Globe has always been reliable for me there. Sucks that ordering from Amazon get the stickers/keychains/extra laces that always come with the shoes stolen. Not even a discounted price so do expect to be completely jacked of ANY extras that are standard with these shoes. Even the 3rd party skate shops online aren't petty enough to take the stickers, and they definitely don't take the extra laces. Oh well, faster shipping with less standards of quality, what are you going to do? Would recommend this shoe to anyone, would recommend you get it from another source if at all possible (couldn't find my size anywhere else).
