These are cozy and supportive slippers! The arch is not too high, just medium arch suppot, which I like. They are "fur" lined all the way through and very warm. I wear an 8 1/2, and I ordered a 9. They still fit well, and I can wear them barefoot without them falling off. Very comfortable to be in all day, and they are nice quality.
I'm a size 8, these fit true to size... nice arch support ‐ not overly arched, just right. And the arch has staying power ‐ The arch might go down a bit but remains supportive. The real fur lining DOES absolutely make a difference in temperature control. I love in the Northeast and I wear these at some point EVERY DAY... even in summer (mostly indoors then). And these are my all day shoe/slippers when I'm at home ... comfy to wear them outside and inside. I treat myself to a new pair every year or two since they get worn A LOT... They *are* pricey, but I wait for them to go down to $50-60 (usually during the summer). But even if I bought them at full price... the price/day is minuscule. Treat yourself ‐ you will not regret it!
These slippers are comfy and cute! I love that they have built in arch support and good soles that can be worn inside and outside. I hope they hold well. I've had them about 2 weeks and so far, so good!Edit: I’ve only had these slippers about 3 months. I wear them daily. Unfortunately, there is already a crack around the edge of the sole and some of the stitching is coming loose.
I have suffered for years with arthritic, achy feet and searched high and low for slippers that provide relief. I found them! These slippers are comfortable, supportive and fit my feet perfectly. From a price standpoint, it is reasonable and the quality exceeds my expectations. I find company's these days are cutting corners. I do not find that to be the case with Acorn's slippers.
I have purchased three pairs of these from Amazon (same model, same size) as well as at least two from "brick and mortar" stores in the last 7-10 years (less expensive on Amazon fyi) and I seriously love them. I play recreational tennis and my feet take a beating but these are so comfy and supportive I can't wait to put these on when I get in from playing. It's like a wonderful foot hug! I find I don't need the arch support that purely orthotic slippers provide when I'm wearing these. I always wear them when I'm inside at home but they have rubber soles so I will wear them when I'm puttering about in the backyard or taking trash out etc. and don't have to take them off if it's wet outside. I will say the last pair developed a hole fairly quickly on the right big toe which was disappointing but none of the others I purchased had any problems at all for all the wear and tear I put them through. I just got another new pair so obviously the good waaaaaay outdoes the bad in my book!
Excellent slipper, I will go as far as saying these are the best, longest lasting slippers I have ever owned.
I originally rated this 4 stars, but less than a year later they did not hold up for the price. The slippers at first appeared to have been assembled by different companies. The only difference was the fur was not as plush and the "collar" wasn't as big on the left slipper. After 9 months wear the one slipper is worn completed down to the insole, however not on the other. I would not purchase these again if they last less than a year. The outer soles and upper composition look almost new, but the inside is no longer plush. Cheaper slippers have outlasted these.
Needed new slippers and tried a few others. These are the best! Warm and comfortable.
