I ordered up to 13/1 since my granddaughter wears size 12. They are big on her but because of elastic around the top edge they work for her now and will last a long time.
These isotoner ballerina slippers are perfect for my toddler. She’s almost 3yrs old and close to a toddler size 8. The size I ordered was based on the size guide in the picture, size guide, and reading the reviews. I ordered the XS 7-8 There’s still room for her to grow. I like how there is a terry cloth foam insole inside. I turned them inside out and put them in a delicate wash bag and washed them first use and let them dry inside out until the next day, then turned them right side out and put them in the dryer on low for 15min in a delicate bag, I also found and ordered an adult size. So, adorable!

I bought these for my granddaughter for Christmas, as she had wanted slippers “like Nana’s” for a few years, but I had never been able to find them in stores. I have had several pair of women’s sized Isotoner ballerina style slippers over the years, and have always loved the comfort and how nice they stayed on my narrow heeled feet, unlike other slippers. I was thrilled to find children’s sizes on Amazon! However, the sizing was confusing, so I first ordered a size that were too small. I had to re-order and return the first pair. Second time was the charm because they fit my granddaughter just fine, with a little room to grow. I’m very satisfied with the slippers and my granddaughter is, too!
After reading reviews here and on Isotoner's website I was concerned about what size to order. As others mentioned, it appears the sizing the seller lists here is outdated. The current sizing as listed on Isotoner's website is accurate. That said, since my 2.5 year old daughter wears a size 8 shoe, I ordered the XXS (7-8) slipper which is actually 6.5 inches long. The slippers fit well and she has a little room to grow. The slipper is soft and seems comfortable as she can wear them for hours running around the house on our hardwood and tile floors. I was looking for a lightweight slipper she could wear around the house during the warmer months so I could retire her winter bunny slippers. Her bunny slippers were awful as her feet would get hot and stinky in them. Fortunately, I haven't noticed that with these slippers and I think the terry lining helps! Although I had to convince my daughter that the "stinky bunny slippers" are gone, I think she finally agrees that her ballerina slippers are pretty!
These are great for around the house. I had written another review on kids pj’s. I stated in that review: I’m 72 years old and have a small frame. Hard to find clothes that fit especially shoes. So I buy kids clothes a lot. These slippers are size 1 in kids shoes and they fit perfect. Very well pleased. I did make the mistake of wearing them outside one time and got them very dirty. I should have known better since these are white but I wasn’t thinking at the time. Unfortunately i can’t get them clean. I’ve washed several times by hand and even in the washing machine but still can’t get them cleaned. I was gonna order another pair but the price has almost tripled since buying the first time. I think the price is ridiculous. Oh well.
