Great comfortable shoes for my grandson that has issues with his walking. He walks on his tippy toes alot and these shoes help him with not doing that.
Talk about life changing! Our son is in AFO's and has had large laced shoes to accommodate them. With these, the zipper allows for a free flowjng transistion. No more unlacing the shoes every time. We still get the snug fit that's needed, and there's two removable soul inserts. He has naturally wide feet to begin with, and his doctors were recommending extra wide, but the traditional wide is picture perfect for him and his braces!
I decided to give Billy footwear another try as they had more cute styles but these shoes are so poorly made. They barely lasted a month! For the price I expected better. My daughter has completely walked through the soles and the zipper broke today. Would not recommend Billy footwear especially if you have a kid with special needs. You are better off buying a regular high top sneaker for 1/2 to 1/3 if the cost in a size up
Absolutely love these shoes. They are very easy to put on my sons afos, very good quality. Love the color also love the fact they have the extra wide option. Will most definitely be recommending to my fellow special needs families ❤️❤️
These zippity little zippers make it better! My autistic son DOESN'T take them off as religiously as he does all other variety of shoe, sock, clothing in general, etc. Great purchase!
These are the only option for my kid and her orthotics, unless I want to take every pair of shoes to the cobbler and get a zipper put in. My kid is inside most the day, doesn't drag her feet, and doesn't play rough.Within a week, the shoe laces fall apart. Within 2 weeks, the soles show considerable wear. Within a month, the soles are coming off. 5-6 weeks? The zippers jam and the entire shoe has to be replaced.They look like crap immediately. They have to be replaced constantly. They're expensive. I hate constantly shelling out for special shoes that don't last even as long as a $10 Walmart sneaker. But I don't have a choice.
These shoes are a perfect fit for gate-corrective orthotics! You still need to add 2 sizes to take into account the size of the braces (for orthotics ONLY), but then it is perfect! And thanks to the zipper, my son can take them off and put them on independently. I would DEFINITELY recommend these 100%
