When my child started school 5 years ago, the school required a black shoe with no laces. I bought him a black shoe ($29)from the same store where I got the uniform. After two months it started to peel and got broken from the front. I bought him another one from Payless for $20 and it was worse. I tried few other brands in vain. Some of them lasted a little longer but I was not really satisfied with the quality and the look. I did spend more than $100 in one year buying and fixing school shoes.I decided to make a real research for a nice looking, comfortable and high quality ones then I saw these ones online and when I knew that they are GEOX I decided to get them because I already have great experience with their shoes for my kids. I am so happy I did. They look so great and they fit perfect and most of all they don't get damaged. I only buy new pair when they no longer fit my kids. Highly recomended.
I never buy cheap shoes for my kids and spend an average of $50-$65 on sneakers, but my 5 year old son was tearing up sneakers every three months. It was costing me a fortune! I'm the type of Mom who makes sure the kids don't step on the back of the heel, untie them before they take them off, and have them switch into their "outside/yard" sneakers on the weekends to play in the yard or ride bikes. My efforts were fruitless because it still didn't seem to effect the longevity of their day-to-day sneakers, until I bought these! They hold up well, look great, and my son says they are very comfortable. I almost forgot...my son's feet get really sweaty and stinky in other shoes, but he doesn't have that issue with these. I'm going to buy the next size up when he grows out of these.
My son just started Grade 3 and I've been buying his school shoes since he started Kindergarten. I've always purchased either pediped or Stride Rite for him, which we've been very happy with generally. But he's now getting into US size 3 it appears the options for these brands are greatly diminished after about size US 2.5. So, I went with Geox. It's been less than a week, but so far, so good. They appear to be well made, and after the first few days are holding up well to the stresses of all-day wear from a 7 year-old boy. And he says they are comfortable, although I would say I noticed right away they are significantly heavier than the school shoes I have bought for him in the past.I will update this review if things change, but for now I give them a strong 4 star rating.
Excellent shoe, especially strong for active children, does not open, is well ventilated
This is the best shoes for little boys that like to play HARD ALL DAY LONG!! I often wonder if he just walks through piles of stones all day long. These shoes lasted over a year and a half. We bought them slightly large so he could grow into them. In the past, we’ve had to buy at least two pairs of shoes during the school year. Outside of stride rite, these are the only shoes that can withstand the energy of our little boy! I’m so glad I found this brand. I tell all Mom’s of little boys because these shoes are THE BEST! We bought another pair in a larger size because we know they will last him the rest of the school year and during the summer. Now if I could just find a pair of pants that won’t get a hole in the knee a third of the way through the school year.Get these shoes for your active child!!!
These are well made! My 3 year old loves them he wears them to school daily. I would definitely recommend
First these shoes are the best looking Velcro shoes I've seen. I love the design but function is even better. They are tough, now I get why they are called Savage. I really like how the rubber extends over the toe in one piece. This way you don't experience the sole separation (talking shoe), or the rubbing off of the material at the toe that you get in low quality shoes. This is our second purchase from this brand. The previous ones lasted until the boys grew out of them. They lasted over a year and we will be donating them because they're still good. The pictures are after 6 months everyday use by an active 1st grader.
I bought this shoe after much review. My 8 year old son would always kick out his school shoes, and a pair of shoes would last about 8 weeks. I bought this shoe mostly because of the bumper toe. He has worn this shoe to school every day for the entire school year. It still looks new. This is an excellent shoe.
