I bought these for two reasons, style and softness. Some people don't realize a childs foot needs to flex as they grow, and these shoes fit the bill perfertly! I used to own a shoe store and it surprised me to find most new parents didn't realize how important it is to buy a quality shoe for a child just starting to walk. The brand is quality, you really get what you pay for.
We have been purchasing this shoe for our son in "the next size up" for the past 3 years. It fits him perfectly. He has a wide, high-volume foot. The toe box is nice and roomy and the elastic allows room for his instep. Also they are easy for him to get on/off himself. I also love the fact that they are just a good-looking sneaker and that the sole is right-sized, rather than a giant, molded, multi-colored thing.
Too narrow and too hard a shoe to be able to tell how well it fits
I love pedipeds, so I didn't hesitate to purchase these shoes for my son. The problem is the sizes really jump from 21 EU to 22 EU. The different style, grip-n-go, which my son does great in, is really different from the flex. There really isn't much flex at all. They are definately much stiffer, so walking in them is a bit more difficult. I wish the flex had much more flex like the grip-n-go and the leather soled beginners, but we'll just learn with a few tumbles along the way.
Very, very cute! My son is 20 mos old and has never worn any shoes other than Pediped shoes. Up until now, we have only had the soft leather soles, so he was a little confused for a few minutes about the hard rubber soles, but he was zooming around in no time.
I bought these for my two year old for Christmas. He loves them. If I tell him to get his shoes, he always goes for this pair. I get compliments on them all the time. He has walked through muddy puddles with them on several times and they have held up going through the washing machine. They came with an extra pair of shoe inserts to help with the fit, that way they could be worn for longer but we didn't need them. When he grows out of these, I will definitely get him another pair of pedipeds.
Best shoes I have purchased for my son to-date. These were his first pair of non-crib shoes and the transition from walking barefoot/crib shoes to walking with this thicker sole didn't seem to bother him at all. Once the velcro strap is opened, the shoe can be stretch very widely, which makes slipping them on and off very easy. The light brown ones we purchased matched pretty much any outfit. Highly recommend for your little walker if they're at the point of needing shoes!
This worked great for our son even though we ordered a bit big. It comes with an additional insert which brings it DOWN a size. Great for place and getting into some puddles.
