I have no idea why people have left 2 star reviews...I have been buying Pedipeds since my son learned to walk. These awesome shoes are super flexible, the quality is fantastic and the price very reasonable for what you get. My son is 5, his foot is size 12. The first pair ordered in 12.5-13, his toes were touching the ends already. We returned it and bought the 13-13.5 size, put the extra insole they provide you with and they fit PERFECTLY. When his feet grow more, we will just take out the extra insole and I won't have to buy another pair of shoes right away. He also doesn't like his feet to get hot, we live in the desert and the last 2 days were 115* and 117* degrees. He wore the shoes at school all day and loved that they didn't make his feet hot and felt so good when running also. FYI, I know it's not easy to find great shoes as they get older but these are it.
My 2 year old has uber fat feet, and can only wear Pedipeds, which is a drag cuz Nike, New Balance, Converse, etc. all make CRAZY CUTE shoes for little guys.Thankfully my wife and I found Pedipeds, as they look just as cute as shoes from the other guys, but they also fit his (adorable) little sausage feet. This particular pair has more of a hiking boot look to them (like tiny Merrells or something), but Pediped also makes sneakers that are totes adorbs. Also very happy with how well these hold up, as he continues to outgrow them LONG before they fall apart, or even really get dirty. Can't go wrong with Pedipeds, and we'll keep buying them until my poor little guy grows into his (incredibly cute) sasquatch feet. :)
Bought these for my Son to wear to school and even though they are velcro, they weren't easy to get on and off and fit pretty narrow. He complained the first day he wore them to school and he hasn't worn them since. He does have a big wider of a foot so maybe that's part of the problem.
I hate how these look - but countless reviews advised that they are sturdy and supportive while being lightweight and flexible. Perfect for a growing toddler. I have to agree, they really are designed with the child's best interests at heart. They come with additional inserts to get the best fit possible.
Decent shoe, but I expected something more flexible from a company whose slogan is "The next best thing to bare feet".
Bought this as uniform shoes for my son. I haven't got any complain about them and he loves wearing them. I love the way they look on him, seems well made and neat. My son wants me to buy the next size for when he outgrow these one, which is a good sign.
The sneakers look great. I bought them for my 5 yr old who needs all black sneakers for school. They fit small so I had to get a whole size bigger. They are also slightly narrow. My son's only complaint is that they keep his feet hot. I noted that his socks are a bit clammy when he comes home, so not very breathable. School has been in session for 7 weeks now. The sneakers are holding up very well on thr play ground too, the soles are made of heavy duty rubber that isn't wearing away or coming apart; stitched and glued. Here is a picture of the new shoe on the left ( i will keep the smaller size for my 3 yr old) and the shoe he has worn daily for 7 weeks on the right. I like the sneakers and would by again. My 3 yr old has narrower feet so it shouldn't be a problem.
I used the inserts for my son and that gave the perfect fit. I would say that the fit is great because the foot has room to grow and you are not looking for new shoes two months later. Great shoe! No complaints from my 7 yr old.
