My son loves the shoes...probably bc of the lights. They're definitely not an athletic shoe but great for play. The shoes have been very durable so far and keep his feet dry. They're not meant for puddle jumping like some reviewers seem to expect. However, they're great for walking in the rain and snow. My son even plays in the snow with them and his feet stay dry. It's a sneaker so of course snow / water can get in around the opening of the shoe if it's too deep or submerged (let your kids know they're not wading boots :). The look of the shoe took some getting used to but seeing how functional it is...well it grew on me. Lol**update: just purchased 2nd pair in red. The blue ones are still going strong. They look great and all the lights still work. My son is very active and plays hard. These shoes have been our best purchase so far. We like these shows especially in spring, winter, and fall. A little to hot for summer. Purchased a little bigger for thicker socks. He will be able to wear into the beginning of next summer if not longer.
These make my kid the fastest in kindergarten. They have held up quite well so far. He's definitely rough on shoes but these are going strong.
I bought some of these for my son and he loved them. He entertains himself with the lights and they fit his size perfectly.He doesn't want to take them off because he is so happy with his shoes.
Fits perfectly with my son's size. He loves the comfort and lights. He is five and loves to run around everywhere. I never heard him complain about his feet hurting like the other ones he used and he has been using this for months now and its still his favorite shoes to grab whenever we go out.
Good for a while, but lights no longer working. I have hand washed and not soaked these shoes and the lights are no longer working.

Fits perfectly and light up is amazing
We’re on our second pair of these for our 6yr-old son and just ordered another pair. They are very durable and last at least twice as long as other shoes we’ve tried and that’s because of the rubber that basically covers the whole toe. If you have trouble with your kid quickly wearing through the toes of their shoes during play, this shoe is the solution. The strong rubber that covers the toe and webs the rest of the shoe is excellent protection, making for the most durable play shoe we’ve found to date.
