I was excited to finally get my son some light up shoes. He has had them for two months and the bungee lace is already ripping out of the eyelets. The right shoe has not lit up as much as the left unless he runs or stomps. I was going to return them because of the light issue, but this seller charges 50% if you want to return them and if they have been worn. This seller cares more about putting the shoes back on the shelf than satisfying a customer.
I bought these exact shoes for my grandson at a brick and mortar store initially. He loved them and they lasted a good 6 months. When he outgrew those, I bought him another pair online from this seller. The first pair he wore to death and they still looked good. This pair from here, he wore for one week and they look like they've been put through a car wash and dragged down the street, and the permanent ties were coming apart (not able to be replaced); the top black toe part was worn off. I was going to send them back however at the time that I was going to return them the bottoms were completely white still and then they got used at a park where tire bark blackened the white bottoms and couldn't be cleaned. This never happened with the pair from famous footwear. However I didn't feel that I could in good conscious still return them. However I would not recommend getting them from here. Despite looking exactly the same, the shoes wore so differently - the size 1.5 compared to the sz 2 I bought here - that I had to question whether or not they were an authentic Sketcher or somehow made with inferior materials.
I purchased three pairs and had to return each one because it was defective. Unfortunately, my grandson has been extremely disappointed because he absolutely loves them. The first pair the sole came apart the first time they were worn, the second pair the top was broken before they were worn and the third pair the light didn’t work. Like I said, he was very disappointed.
