Absolutely loves these. They are high quality, look cute on, sturdy and the brown goes with just about anything. We've tried Nike, Adidas, and Converse as shoes for our baby/toddler. Stride Rite, with it's quality stitching, thick sole and cushioning inside, is the by far the best shoe we've used so far. They really hold up to outdoor play in sandboxes, on scooters, slides, you name it. And they don't stink! (Which kind of amazes me, since he wears them all day at daycare.)
My son had previously worn a brown pair of Stride Rites and refused to put on any other shoe. I couldn’t find the exact pair since he was growing out of his shoes, but stumbled upon these, and he absolutely loves them! They look comfortable, and he doesn’t complain. They look nice, too; not huge, heavy, or bulky.
We purchased another style in this brand that fit wonderful and was easy to put on. He has since outgrown those and a 7 was not available in that shoe so after reading positive reviews we purchased this style. Even though the length and softness of the shoe sole is perfect (and the shoe is adorable) we have a hard time getting his foot in this shoe. And when it is in the shoe can barely be Velcro without squishing/hurting the top of his foot. We had no issues with this shoe in a different style (size wide) the shoe was easy on and off and appeared comfortable. This one however I'm not sure.
I always buy Stride Rite shoes for my son. He is 18 months, has wide feet (not chubby though) and these shoes indeed fit as expected. Easy to put on and off. Velcro works well. Sole is soft and bends easily, good for little walkers. They are perfect for spring time but a little too hot for summer (we live in Pennsylvania).
I am a fan of Stride Rite to begin with, so when a Bzz Campaign came up to try these out I clicked as fast as I could, and the are amazing, not just saying that because the were given for free either. My little boy is 17 months and my youngest, so he likes to keep up with his older brothers who are 7,5, & 4 , these shoes fit him great and he was off and running with the big boys, Jack wont stop saying shoe and pointing at them. He absolutely loves them, ironically the only problem I have with them is actually a perk, they are hard to get on and off. These would've been great for my four year old when he was a toddler since we could never keep shows on him, I would recommend these to anyone, they are soft, flexible , but durable. I also enjoy them because enough with the character shoes. Including a picture of my Lil' Jack in the shoes.Although i was given these for free through Bzzagents as well as Stride Rite my review is true.
I'm very disappointed in the construction of this particular product. I am VERY familiar with Stride Rite and have managed a family shoe store for 10+ years selling and fitting their products, and have helped to purchase seasonal products from their reps for our large multi store company. This is not the quality that Stride Rite is known for. My son is 18 months old and has been wearing these shoes for a month and a half. They truly have light wear and the soles show no wear on the bottoms (as you can see from the attached pictures). The problem is that the upper is separating from the sole (poor stitching) on the lateral side of one of the shoes and I can see his foot on the inside of the shoe through the 1 1/2 inch split. They are not too tight and still have plenty of growing room left, but now cannot be worn because they offer no protection from the elements. Even though I know Strite Rite will take back defective product within this time frame from their vendors, Amazon appears to offer me no way to return a defective product because it is over 30 days from purchase. It would be wonderful if Amazon customer service would contact me to resolve this matter and assure me that they value me as a Prime customer, and re instill my faith in their great customer service.
Shoe is too narrow, even the wides. Had them for 3 months and now there is a hole up top. Quality stinks compared to typical stride rites.
Love them they are so cute and actually fit my sons feet.He has really wide feet and stride rite is about the only ones I can find that have wider shoes for my kids. There quality is always amazing.
