Harsh winter? So what! The insulated Crossfire from Baffin protects against the elements to keep your foot warm. Made with the finest craftsmanship, this boot is fully waterproof and has all of the comfort technology that you need and want in a hardworking boot. Twenty-five years ago Baffin Footwear began manufacturing insulated and non-insulated footwear products. While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. Baffin combines leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, which creates a hybrid style of high-performance footwear. This equates to more warmth, better fit, and superior comfort. Baffin boots are different than most shoes and work boots because the sole and midsole are molded to the base in one continuous process. The sole itself is a marvel of modern engineering because it is made up of several advanced thermo-set polymers that are combined together to achieve the right balance of warmth, protection, low weight and grip. Baffin is dedicated to offering boots with functionality and fashion, while still maintaining their legendary performance.

These boots are great.Bought them from Amazon US as UK one doesn't offer them (nowhere in the UK does to be fair) but so pleased I did.The great thing for me is, whilst they are TOASTY warm even with a thin pair of socks on (may have to bulk up in severe cold) is that if I leave the laces tied loose(ish) then I can slip these on and off with ease and don't have to worry about them falling off my feet as they aren't too sloppy (of course I would tighten them if I was going to be hiking miles or hunting in them) but for walking the dog or popping outside it's handy.Had them over 2 years now and the construction has held up well, as has their waterproofing and the grip is fab in the snow and mud alike. I bought a US ten which is a UK 9 (my size) and on our coldest days have worn a coolmax 'thin' sock with a 'thick' bridgedale summit (which has been too warm to be honest) but if you wanted more layers on I suggest you go up a size, as whilst it's not tight for me with the mix of 2 socks, it would be uncomfortable to have anything thicker I think.Taking my Jeep wrangler up to the Arctic on an expedition shortly hopefully (if not then it will be either the Alps, Pyrenees or Corsica) however if I do go I will post again if I have any issues, but think these will be perfect, however BE AWARE...... they take a little getting use to if your driving in them (see paragraph below). The only thing I should perhaps mention (but by no means is this a criticism or a negative) is they can seem little bit Nemesis/Battlefield Earth on your feet and this may take a couple of wears to acclimatise to, however not to the point where you look silly (they are just a tad bigger all round than a normal boot, due to the insulation I guess). When these give up the ghost I will be purchasing the same or an equivalent pair by Baffin.Seller was great too with swift delivery that if I remember rightly was free (even across the pond).
I was looking for a boot that would keep my feet warm while playing outside in the snow with my kids and snowblowing/shoveling. Work boots were just not cutting it. These were recommended to me by a coworker who uses them for snow-mobiling so i gave them a shot. Wow are they warm. I was in knee high snow for an hour and my feet were still warm as ever.I will point out that these are not made for walking long distances. They are pretty large and although not a lot of weight to them, they do feel heavy in deep snow. They go up to my mid-calf so walking a lot causes them to rub and dig in a little around my ankle. Perhaps that's just because they are new, but I dont plan to go hiking with them so it fits my needs perfectly.I wear a size 11.5 shoe and these in 12 were a perfect fit out of the box.
Bought these for my husband who has neuropathy in his feet. These boots keep his feet warm and are nice and padded. Spent the day in slushy snow and stayed warm and dry.
1. They are warm, which is the main thing. Snowblowing in single digit F temperatures (sitting on a tractor, not walking), and working outside at -10 F with a lot of wind, they kept my feet nice and warm.2. Buy them a size large. I wear 11, bought 12; I could easily wear them with just normal socks, but the liners are squishy enough that I can also put on heavy socks. I don't think I could do that with 11s.3. One review said they were too big to walk in comfortably. I disagree. I think they are pretty nimble for a cold-weather boot, and lighter than most others I've had.4. My criticisms are the laces are a little hard to draw up and release, and the top doesn't close up very well. If you have to work in deep snow, you need gaiters or snowpants pulled down over them to keep the snow out.My biggest complaint about boots in general the last few years is they are made poorly and fall apart quickly. Too soon to tell about these.Overall, these are fine and I recommend them.
Like other reviewers said, get the next size. I take a size 13, got the 14s and they are perfect. These are the best snow boots I have ever gotten. Waterproof? I live in NYC and sometimes our snow is slushy. These boots keep my feet dry while shoveling. Warm??? Oh yeah!!! I just wore these to the 2018 NHL Winter Classic at Citi Field (baseball stadium). High temp was 10°. Citi Field is known for its wicked cross breezes off the bay. Was there from 11am and by 330pm, my toes started to get cold but not frozen. Once the feet started moving around, they warmed up. Only downfall is they are very big which makes driving difficult and sometimes walking up or down certain types of stairs a little difficult. But it’s the size is what keeps you warm. All in all, these are great. I’ve had them for 2 years now.
Hello. The boot is warm and dry, this boot has more support then the other pair that you returned for me (this pair being lace up), The traction is good. The only thing it is a little large to fit in my foot-rest on Sno-Cat., I have to be careful because of a roll over my foot could become stuck possibly brakeing and ankle such as my friend did.. Terry.
I hike through the woods every day during the winter in northern Minnesota. We usually walk 2 to 5 miles. The boats were very comfortable and warm. Towards the end of the first year the seams started splitting at multiple points. The second year I was forced to glue the seams multiple times to keep the snow out. My first pair of Baffin boots lasted me over ten years. I expected better but was sadly disappointed.
