I have tested these standing in snow 8 hours a day working at a ski resort. My feet are always warm. Now I am taking them to frigid Mongolia.
I now have 3 pair of baffins. The summit is the closest to true size I’ve found. I also have the wolf snow boots. I wear a 10.5 to 11 so i got those in a 12 but they are WAY too bog. The summit fits just right and with the laces they fit snugly.
They are nice warm, comfy, and super light boots as long as they're dry. They are supposed to waterproof, but the first pair I got leaked so I exchanged them for a new pair, but the second pair leak too. Very disappointing, especially for the price!
This a superior boot. With the liner in I had a snug fit as I would expect. I wear a 10 and this 10 is on par with what I would expect especially since it will loosen up a bit with use.
Replaced an old pair of Sorels with these. Wow! Blown away at how warm yet light they are and somehow have ninja-like traction on icy surfaces. These are a pleasure to wear and look like they are solidly built and will last a long time. I highly recommend these boots.
Bought these for my husband and went up a size and still were to small. They looked well made, but have to return because his toe is hitting the top of the boot.
This is a one year review....but in reality the boot has been continuously used for 24 days over the past year - 14 in early 2023 in Alaska and 10 in early 2024 in the Canadian Rockies. The good - reasonably light, does not leak (for now), reasonably form fitting unlike so many of Baffin's higher rated boots. I actually purchased and returned four other Baffin models before landing on these. They kept me reasonably warm outside for 2+ continuous hours of -40F exposure. The bad - the supposedly high tech insole is worthless. It delamined pretty quickly and looks like it has seen a year of continuous use rather than just a few weeks. In addition it compressed and shifted around the base of the boot, not always protecting the toes.Do yourself a favor and buy a pair of -25C felt liners at $5/piece and replace the junky OEM ones. Your toes will thank you when it gets nasty outside.
Very comfortable and keep your feet warm
