I give these boots a five out of five star rating. The boots definitely ran one size too small. If you want to be comfortable and be able to wear a thicker winter sock so your feet are nice and cozy, I would highly recommend ordering one size larger. I absolutely love these boots. I went outside the next day in -8 deg F below zero weather with snow crusted with ice on top and played with my son and hauled in wood and I was outside for over two hours and my feet felt wonderful, dry and warm. They are also very cute. I got a compliment from another lady at the store the first day I wore them out in public!
I love these boots. The colors are as expected, the boots are warm & waterproof.I’ve worn them a few times to the barn now and my feet are comfortable, warm, & dry ! We’ve had some ice in MI too and they do not feel slippery like some other boots I’ve had. I wear a 6 1/2, I ordered a 7 and the boot was perfect even with thick socks. I will buy again when needed.
Owned my first pair of bogs for 14 years. Love my new ones!
These are exactly what I was looking for to replace my 7 year old Purple Fox Bogs that recently wore out. These are absolutely waterproof, cold rated down to minus 30, but not too warm to wear in spring and summer. I love that they have neoprene under the rubber parts and up the calf rather than sticky rubber. They have a nice grab on the back of your heel so when you're walking through mud or shallow water they won't come off your foot. Although I am super sad about my cute purple fox boots wearing out, these are a great replacement and are exactly the same besides the color and pattern on the boots. I use them to take thr dog out, walk in the creek, and to be out and about in rain or snow. Bogs are THE best!
These boots seem comfortable & warm, and the design is cute -- albeit not as bright as the pictured boots. The problem is the toe box is huge and looks really clunky. I was hoping for more of a cute & less of a clunky look. I did order up a size as other reviewers recommended. Might not have needed to with my super narrow feet. I've decided to keep them for Alaska where I spend half the year -- let's face it -- warmth & comfort trump in AK, but for lighter duty, around town in the lower 48 the rest of the year, I will probably not be wearing them much. Will likely leave them in AK. I was hoping I would be wanting to wear them all the time. Oh well, the search continues....
These boots are great! There are only THREE MINOR ISSUES: but they are due to my feet/what I use them for more than the boots themselves.1. I wear a 7.5W, so an 8 is big on me. I fixed this with an insole (also solved the next issue).2. There is absolutely no arch support or cushion, so they are a bit uncomfortable to walk in for long periods of time. I added a memory foam/gel insole and they have become extremely comfortable during my walks with my dog (1+ miles).3. The traction on ice is awful. If you need to use these on ice, make sure you have something like yaktrax on them.Barring those MINOR issues, these boots are PERFECT.
Hopefully they will soften up or break in. Otherwise they fit fine. I expected to have a lot more room because these are a size 8, and the size 7 that I have in another color of the exact same boot fits but with no room for thicker socks. However the ankle area feels totally fine in those boots (the size7)... these new ones in size 8 squeeze my bony ankle, almost uncomfortably and I'm hoping that I won't get blisters. If they break in, I think I will be able to fit a thicker sock with these, but I'm not sure. I'm almost wondering if I should've ordered the size 9! For reference, I usually order a size 7.5 in most shoes. The color is muted but I like the pink :)
Our family loves Bogs -- kids, moms, and grandmother (me). They keep out the snow and the wet and most importantly keep my feet not only dry but warm. Most other heavy boots suck up the cold from the street and transfer it directly to my feet, and I'm older so they can take hours to rewarm. With Bogs I don't even need to wear heavy socks, just thin wool ones. I ordered a size up (10) from my shoe size (9) because I like to slip in and out of boots without a herculean struggle. These I slip into effortlessly but they stay in place just fine while walking and still require a really good tug to remove. They are a bit heavy but flexible enough this isn't a big problem. Beautifully designed.
