I normally wear a size 8 in boots and got these in a size 8.5. At first they felt really tight and I thought I may need a 9. I have never worn a 9 before. I wore them around and they loosened up significantly. After wearing them even a day they didn’t feel tight at all anymore. I have been wearing them all over park city Utah on our ski trip. They have been snow tubing, sledding, exploring, in a snow storm, playing and running around with kids in the snow. I wore them in snow that was over the top of the boot. Snow stuck to the fur a little, I had to shake it off. My point is they are completely waterproof in slush, hard snow, ice, sleet, soft powder snow, you get the idea. My feet did NOT get wet. I can promise you they are 100% waterproof even in rain. They are easy to wipe off and clean. I love these boots. Other than the fact they were tight at first they are perfect. I don’t even wear wool socks with these, just normal cotton socks. Your feet will not get cold in these even if you are out ALL day walking in snow like me playing with my kids. We were sledding and I was literally climbing and falling all in deep snow all day. Lol! They are extremely grippy on the bottom. Overall wonderful quality! They are made of very strong materials. If you are prone to falling on ice like me, you will love the bottom of these boots and how they grip the ground. They are also cute and fashionable. They don’t feel clunky, which I hate! I hate sorel boots they are too big and clunky. These are easy to walk in and super light in comparison! I had a pair of sorel boots and these are 100 times better! I like these better than the Columbia snow maiden boots too, which I returned for these. These are just so easy to walk in and comfy! You won’t regret these! My only advice is I would size up 1/2 size from your normal boot size. They DO break in and loosen up! They seem really narrow across the foot at first....at least for me. Unless your foot in narrow you will see what I mean when you put them on. I’m so glad they worked out. I was freaking out that they wouldn’t fit at all and I didn’t have time to return before the trip. I would highly recommend and I know I will gladly wear these next year too!
Went down a rabbit hole searching for cute waterproof women's boots that were also cozy and had finally came across these Columbia boots. I've been wearing them for a long time and I love them! They are extremely comfortable, waterproof, and very durable. I wear these Columbia boots while taking my GSD hiking and going for walks. I've gone through extremely muddy trails and on rainy days and these boots kept my socks and feet totally dry and warm too. They are easy to clean by just wiping off the mud with a wet cloth or paper towel. The Columbia boots also give me great traction up and down muddy slopes. If you want to wear thick socks then you'll need to order a half size up.I love these boots so much that I bought another pair in a different color too. The price is worth it for the quality, how cute they look, and that they are comfortable and waterproof. 😍🥇🌧️☃️Brief update: I added pics of how these awesome boots look like after hiking through muddy trails and water with my GSD this morning. My feet and socks always stay totally dry and warm. I don't worry about walking through standing water, mud, etc because these boots protect me great! I highly recommend these boots!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
These boots fit true to size and were extremely warm and comfortable. Feet stay dry. What I really liked about them is the traction. I hiked in them in Lake Tahoe. The paths were very Icy a s snow everywhere. No slips with these on. I highly recommend these boots!
I absolutely love these boots! My toes have never felt cold. Feels like a fuzzy blanket inside my shoes even with thin ankle socks on. I live by the Canadian border with snow up to our knees and harsh winds and these boots are perfect up here. Love the fact I don’t have to untie my boots, they just slip on easily and stay on snug right up to the top (just below calf). They do run small. So size up. I wear size 9 and sized up to 9.5. Would have been fine with size 10 too. If you are used to thick woolly socks, size up a whole size. They are narrow boots. If you have wide feet these are probably not for you. They do stretch fast and comform to the shape of your foot though. Break in period was only a couple days and there isn’t a place where they feel tight. Snow doesn’t stick to them! So I barely track snow in the house. Mud cleans up easily with damp cloth. They are also super light and they do not make my feet look ginormous. I bought a pair of TNF Chilkat 400 and I’m returning TNF ones because of the weight and clunkiness. If weight of shoes matters, consider these.January 2021- These boots are still looking like new!! Very well made. I clean well before storing in original box for the summer and unpack as soon as snow flies. Still no stains or signs of tear and wear. The fluffy parts still fluffy! Buy this but remember to size up!! Third winter using them.
It's hard to find boots of any kind that work for slim calves, so I was glad to find these snow boots--the adjustable lacing allows for a snug fit. In keeping with other reviews, I found that these run small in the foot. I tried 3 sizes and ended up keeping the largest (a full size larger than most of my other boots). For snow boots, they are surprisingly lightweight, and they have a pretty good grip. Note that they do have a more sneaker-like, flexible feel--which seemed different from other snow boots I've had, but which I've decided I like. But if you're looking for a boot that gives you more ankle and foot support, these are probably not for you.I found them warm enough for East Coast city walking; however, on a winter vacation in a colder, snowier mountain setting, my feet (in wool socks) did get cold after some time. Depending on your needs, you may want to account for wearing double socks in your sizing. The gray color is lovely--nice to have a lighter neutral than black that is not brown/taupe. I'm not wild about the look of the faux-fur lining (which is mottled brownish), but that's minor given the many other practical pluses of these boots for me.
