I've wanted these for such a long time now. I love slides but the cheap ones from the store only last a couple months. I actually had no idea these had velcro straps until I got them, and I don't know if this was the intended purpose, but having the strap connect right in the spot where my previous slides always rip and tear is actually a smart way to fix the issue... the velcro feels super strong, I don't think it will have any problem staying put.Now let's move on to what I really wanted to talk about: the comfort and support. If you wear slides without socks, this will probably hurt your feet. The material is very firm and doesn't have much squishiness to it, so wear socks to prevent discomfort. When I wear them with socks, the feeling is life changing... suddenly it feels good to get up and walk around, and I find myself with more motivation & energy to do work because my slides feel so good to wear. I have chronic pain and really poor circulation; this helped me so much more than I thought it would. I was upset that the only pair available in my size costs $20 more than the next size down, but honestly considering the impact it's had on my life in such a short amount of time I will say it was definitely worth it. Also, do yourself a favor and get a pair of really soft, plush slippers to switch to when you're done working around the house and want to just relax your feet.EDIT: after a few days, I have broken in the slides and there is almost no discomfort now when wearing them without socks. overall a great investment in footwear.
I use these slippers all the time and they are fantastic. They provide great arch support and fit as expected for the shoe size. i can wear these shoes all day and the massage dots have a fantastic feel to them. They are very comfortable and it is great because it provides your feet with great massaging feelings all day. I have to warn you however that they do take a while to get used to. When you first wear them and walk around, they can be quite painful for the bottom of your feet. For that reason, I suggest that you wear socks the first few times you wear them until you get more acquainted with the massage beads. Another thing is that when you start to wear them without socks, it leaves the bottom of your feet having little dot imprints (they go away in a few minutes after removing the slippers). Another thing is that over long uses, some of the beads tend to fall out. However, this is not a big deal. All in all, I would recommend this product.Pros: Comfortable, massages feetCons: Somewhat uncomfortable at first, beads fall off after long use, temporary dots on bottom of feet
When I got these I was skeptical. Kept reading how they aren’t true to size? Ordered an 8 cause that’s what I am: & it fit! You can adjust the straps but they didn’t need adjusting for me. The straps are soft & cushiony. The whole shoe is made out of sturdy but soft plastic. The kind of plastic that seems like it’ll be easy to clean if you walk outside in them. The ONLY problem I have is that it HURTS to walk in them cause of the little spikes that cover the bottom: where the feet go. But! My mom wore them and she was fine?? I’m sure it’s just my sensitive feet! Imma still wear em tho...still wear em.
I am a swimmer and have worn these slides at the pool and elsewhere for probably twenty years. I just ordered another pair, in the black and white colorway shown in the photo. The massagers are half the height of those on my older pair, the very currently sandy aqua pair shown in the 2nd photo. I also noticed on the new slides that the materials gauge of the securing flaps is slightly thinner, and the velcro patches themselves are just a little smaller. More and more I find this in products — a skimping on materials or workmanship. I'm still giving them a four star rating because they fit well, and they feel comfortable. Also, it could be that Adidas went with smaller massage nubs because the larger ones tended to bend and break off over time. Whether or not these slides will hold up as well as previous pairs or have the same fabulous massaging action, only time will tell.
perfect.
The shoes fit very well. Since they come only in whole sizes, I was worried they'd be too short, but they are just right; also, I have a wide foot, and the velcro fold over uppers are adjustable, which was a nice surprise. The soles are very pokey, but they are perfect for out-of-the pool, as your feet stay dry. Also, I think the pokey things remind my feet where they are, and give me better balance, which is tricky after swimming. Water in ears and all that. So, since new science research has shown that sole stimulation can help elderly people with their balance issues, I might also order some for my mother-in-law. 'Seems that our feet are so far away from the nerve center, our feet just don't get the signals they need. TMI, I guess, but interesting, I think. Just watch, a whole new eldershoe will emerge with batteries and pokey things that vibrate. As far as the seller, she did reply to an inquiry I sent about delivery time, as it took more than 10 days to receive them.
