Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
I've owned Doc Marten shoes for many years and obviously have continued buying their products. These sandals do not disappoint in looks and comfort and would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a different kind of summer shoe with a slight edge to them.
They where a bit uncomfortable but they look nice overall I love them
Love the chunkiness and attitude of this sandal. Like that the Doc Marten branding is still part of it. Because the 3 buckles are adjustable, it fits well (although I have it on the loosest hole, and straps are just long enough so you couldn't punch another hole even if you wanted to). The back strap is not a buckle, it's elastic, so easy to slide my foot in and out. Sole is incredibly comfortable and ergonomic. I have several Doc Marten sandals, and this is my favorite.
I've worn Docs for decades. My impression is that quality seems to have slipped since many of the shoes are now made in countries other than England. These sandals look pretty good and fit ok but are made of thinner leather than my last pair. Seem less sturdy, less durable. Time will tell I guess. There is no adjustment on the rear strap so you have to try to adjust using the three width straps. Love my last pair of Docs sandals, these not quite so much.
I used it for almost one month and I loved that sandals , they are very comfortable and beautifulThe Best Buy in December
I've been a Doc Martens man for years. This is their first product I've ever bought that missed the mark. The signature soles are the issue, in my opinion. Sandals are so stiff you literally cannot wear them. Breaks my heart to write this review. Have 3 DM boots in closet now...but donated Sandals to local mission. Still a fan of Docs!!
there is no dislike..love them...thank you
I noticed after about two weeks of wear the soles of the sandals have started to wear down and fray at the edges. They are really comfortable and look great but I wish the sole was made with better material I can't imagine these will last long, much different than typical doc marten soles.
