Dunham Men's Nolan WF Sandal, Taupe, 16

I’ve had foot problems for years. Very high arches, metatarsalgia, Arthtitis in my big toes, and a neuroma. I’ve suffered with the neuroma for well over 15 years. I finally had it surgically removed this past February. Because of all my foot issues (I wear orthotics) and my shoe size (11 1/2EE in women’s and 11W in men’s) I’m very limited on what I can wear. I’ve tried on shoes all over town to no avail. I’ve ordered numerous shoes on line only to have to send them back. Those that I’ve dared to wear, I ended up selling them on Facebook for dirt cheap because I was desperately wanting something I could wear only to find out I can’t wear them. I want to thank the 350 pound guy for his review because I would not have tried these sandals if it weren’t for him. You need to give him a discount on his next pair of sandals! (Just a suggestion). I LOVE these sandals!! You can adjust them in 3 places. They have good support. I wear them with my orthotics and also wear a metatarsal pad on top of the orthotics. For those of you wondering how I wear them with orthotics when they’re not an orthotic friendly sandal, this is what I do. You can get self stick Velcro strips at the fabric store. You cut 2 small strips (just long enough to firmly hold your orthotics in place). I put one strip centered under the toe part and the other strip centered under the heal part. This will keep you orthotics in place so they won’t slide out. I ordered these sandals in men’s size 11. Since they’re adjustable in 3 places I did not need to order them in wide. These are a nice looking sandal, do not make my feet look huge, and are very comfy with my orthotics. I wrote this review in great detail hoping this will help someone with the same foot issues.

Like that it fit well and seems well made

I have a bunionette and need a wide sandal to avoid irritation. These fit and wear great. My only complaint.... they develop an odor. I don't have problems with foot odor with any other shoes or sandals. I just wipe them with a washcloth.

I hate dealing with laces or tightening and loosening straps, especially in sandals where I want them to be convenient. I like having the ankle strap so they don't fall off or feel loose or make that annoying slapping sound. It turns out that most sandals with ankle straps go for the loosening and tightening approach so I had to go through a lot of different sandals and searches for them before I finally found these. That alone makes them a wonderful find since that was really all I wanted, but in addition to that they are comfortable, fit my wide feet well, are sturdy enough for hiking, and can be used in and out of water so they're great for hanging out by a river when you want to wade in with some foot protection instead of mashing pointy rocks directly into your feet. I hope these sandals last a long time and they seem like they will, but I also hope this company stays in business long enough for me to buy more from them when I inevitably wear these out.

I tried Timberland, Orthofeet, and Sketchers sandals and they all didn’t work for me. These ones are amazingly comfortable, especially the padding on the straps. I agree like others said the straps are a bit too long, but it’s not a big deal

Brand new in the box.I have to buy 1 size up to get the width I need in a 4E. Gives me about an extra inch of platform beyond what I need. I just tighten the heel strap up so it is behind my foot instead of in front.The leather footbed ones are a little more comfy but not water resistant and wear a bit quicker.Bring back the 6E for us duck footed individuals!
