Returned as could not secure shoe safely to my foot . The ankle strap too large for my ankle.
I love Merrell sandals. I love the comfort and durability. However, I feel like the straps on this style are a little tight and constricting and are NOT adjustable. Which is a shame, because I really love the look and comfort of the sole. I can only wear these shoes for a few hours before the straps start bothering me. I don't have thin feet, but I don't have wide feet either. Wider feet beware of this style!
Was searching for a good pair of sandals to walk in and go to the beach in as well. These I slipped on and knew they were going to work. Tried on several different types and styles of sandals and these ended up being the best. Did not have to break them in they worked right from the start. No blisters. I have a small pinky toe that has a corn and it was very accommodating. No pressure on that little toe with these sandals. I also have a pair of hiking boots by Merrill that are the same way. Looks like I'll be a Merrill shoe person from here on out.
My old leather Merrell sandals wore out and I bought these as a replacement. I bought a 9 Wide size. These look great when I have them on and the footbed is very comfortable. The issue is these have a floppy, sloppy fit. First, the velcro strips on the adjustable straps are too short to provide a snug fit. Second, the toe strap is not adjustable and I'm pretty sure my pair have stretched a bit since I started wearing these three weeks ago. The result is a fit that flops a bit when you walk, not tight or form fitting. I will certainly wear them around the house and at work, but I would not wear them for long walks or hiking. For a $90 price tag, I expected better.
I don't usually buy Merrell because they're too expensive, but I couldn't resist them for the price. I'm so happy I did buy them. because they fit perfectly and they look outstanding. That little bit of a light color makes they really stand out. I highly recommend them.
Cute sandals. Comfy. Velcro straps WILL NOT stay connected around back of my heel.
Used for a water trip. Quality held up. Dried fast. Wore them all day for this trip and were comfortable.
