Comfort rated from subfreezing to 65 °F (18 °C), these 100% waterproof kids' boots feature a lightweight 4 mm neoprene bootie for comfortable three-season wear. Every boot in the line is expected to deliver the same 100% waterproof quality and comfort that inspired the original footwear. In just a few years, the line has grown to more than 20 styles, all designed to tackle tough conditions in agriculture, lawn and garden, outdoor sporting, equine, and pet care. I love this style of boot for gardening, working outside, running out to the car to retrieve something while it's pouring rain, walking the dog during mud season, walking through tall grass, and so many other things. The convenience of being slipon and waterproof is why I love these. Easy to clean if you end up being up to your ankles in mud, just hose off and set on the boot dryer to restore to being good as new! Also, a plus for me is being close to 40 with tiny feet, I scored for these babies at a killer price as I am able to shop in the children's department, same style and quality as adult shoe. Keeps feet toasty in the cooler month, not entirely recommended for warmer months as they are lightly insulated, but temporary relief if you fold down the top hem of the boot to let the ankles breath.Overall ✓+++
I am an adult woman who wears a size 7.5-8 in women's sizes. I have been wanting a pair of Muck boots for a couple of years (my boys have had them for several years), but just could not bring myself to buy them because of the price. I tried on children's size boots in a local store (where the price was still $70.00). Got on Amazon, and much to my delight, found these adorable boots for $36.00! They are warm, dry, and everything I was hoping for! If you are an adult, and on the fence with these, don't hesitate to buy them! I purchased a big kid's size 7. They can accomodate a thicker sock, but I have worn them mostly with bare feet to run out and fill the outdoor wood stove. My feet do not slide around and are very warm!
we were replacing Hatley rain boots that didn't even make it a year before getting a hole. These are really well made, the sole has sufficient flexibility for ages 4+ and lots of traction. They seem warm, a good and bad thing (probably no good june-September but we will get cheapies for then). Overall we are pleased. They fit nicely and will not come off while running. My son is size 11.5, the 12 fit perfectly with a bit of room. I would not go down in size or up significantly in these, just round up from half sizes. We got the green/blue and the color is really nice. I am a little jealous and want a pair myself ;)
our son is on his third set of these boots. they are pricey, quite a bit more than I feel comfortable in paying actually for a quickly growing young child, but they have proven themselves warm and very durable, when compared to rubber boots, as where I live, even the cheap ones are 15-20 dollars a pair and most tear at the seams after hard use. These are attractive, keep small feet warm, dry, and are easy to put on and take off.A lot of other parents make admiring comments, so I'll call that a plus.
Kid’s Muck Boots for me are a cheaper alternative to the Adult version. I do however add a thin foot sole liner because if you walk for work, these kill your lower back. Again, they are kids boots that I am asking the world for, so that’s on me. Don’t call OSHA. I had a pair that lasted 3 years wearing to work on a weekly basis (water proof feet are necessary)! The older the boots are from wear, the more you can stuff in the toes like hand warmers. They don’t stretch a ton, but they do get worn in. Once they crack, they are toast. You may try that late night TV as waterproofing gel, but I don’t have that kind of time. These are great for sleety, wet weather. The neoprene holds foot warmth well so don’t wear these when it’s a warm Spring rain as you’ll die once you get to Brunch. You can walk on a frozen lake but plan more in the 35 degrees F down to about 15. Your feet will get cold after a long time outside. The kid will grow out before they wear out. So order these when your kid gets to your shoe size. I’m a woman’s as size 7.5 (38) and I like big kids size 6. Fits great but not with huge, thick socks. The color selection over the year ranges from conservative to “holy cow those are loud”. Enjoy!
These boots are very warm and waterproof. I believe they would be very comfortable if the sizing was right. I normally wear a size 7, ordered a 7, but these fit like an 8 or bigger. My foot is entirely too loose in them. I kept them simply because I didn't want to hassle with returning (I've since learned Amazon returns are very easy) and because these were in my price range, but none of the other colors were. They are fine for light chores (chickens & ducks), but since they are too big, my feet hurt after shoveling snow. Because of the sizing, they would not work in thick mud situations, they would slip off my feet. They also wouldn't be good in uneven ground situations since they are too big. Despite being too big, they are holding up well a year later.
I love my Muck Boots for walking outside when it is cold, snowy, and wet out!
The boots were very hard to get on at first. If you have a problem, roll the top of the boot down, that seemed to help a little. That being said, I don’t have to worry about my kid running and pulling his foot out of the boot on accident. Or his boot getting stuck in mud or sand and foot being pulled out. Very comfortable boots. Well worth the investment. I was tired of getting cheaper boots that fall apart in a month and leaving little cold wet feet from leaks. These should last all fall and winter. Maybe even work as hand me downs! Great so far!
