I purchased these for my 5 year old who has average-width feet. The fit is comfy and great and was true to size (predictably, we were sizing up from another pair of Stride Rites, and they fit as expected). The eyes light up and they are BRIGHT! These are breathable mesh material but he hasn't gotten them soaked, so I'm not sure how the lights fare under heavy water use. He loves them and they are easy for him to take on/off himself, which is always a plus. I know when I buy Stride Rite I'm buying comfort and quality and these are no exception.
Have to watch childrens vs mens sizing when ordering but nice product
We love Stride Rite shoes around here so it's no surprise that we like these too. My almost two year old brings them to me every day, multiple times a day to put him on. He insists that they are Iron Man shoes even though they're clearly Spider-Man.They are super cute on and I love that the eyes flash and light up. This is our first pair of light up shoes dispite also having a six-year-old he never actually got a pair of light up shoes and he's been fine with that.My son doesn't complain about them being uncomfortable so I have to assume that they are perfectly fine. He plays all kinds of activities with these, climbing at the park as well as splashing in puddles, which I was concerned about. I wasn't sure if the light up would still work after getting wet. I wouldn't throw these in the washer or anything but they did not stop working after he splashed in a few puddles so that's good.
I bought these for my 4 year old son. They fit perfect, have good support, and provide easy ventilation. He loves the Spider-Man design and lit eyes upon impact of the ground. I'm not sure about their durability but I will update this review at the end of summer. For the price, I am very satisfied with these shoes!
My kiddo will not wear any other shoe now! So if you are expecting your kids outfit to match everyday after buying these, prepare for disappointment. You want him to wear something pink, or dress up for church or a wedding, expect to see Spidey on his feet :) All in all these shoes are totally worth the price. They are durable, the light flash as expected, and my 4yo loves them. He must show EVERYONE his shoes... and they are about 3 months old now! The material is mesh, and lightweight, so they are great for summer. He's worn them out in the rain and jumped in puddles, and they've stood strong through it all. Will buy again next year :)
My son loves his spiderman shoes! We had to return first pair because the lights didn't work on one shoe. Shoes were shipped fast, and return was easy.
My son is obsessed - he has not taken them off since we gave them to him. I think he will try to wear them all winter. The lights are BRIGHT, so beware if you think your child may be distracted. We have already washed them 3 times and the lights are still going strong.
My son loves these shoes. He can put them on himself and wants to wear them all the time now! I am disappointed that one of the eyes doesn't light up all the way or at all sometimes. I would exchange them, but I already had to exchange a different style I bought somewhere else that one shoe didn't light up at all and it doesn't bother him. I don't know if that's just part of having light up shoes, but it stinks.
