The foot bed is a slightly soft suede-like material but with a minor cushioning underneath and not as prone to sweat absorption and collecting dirt as a Birkenstock is. There's some small arch support, but it's pretty minor, more like a curves dip for the rest of your foot. The bottoms have the classic Teeva traction grip that's good for damp surfaces, but gets slippery if it's a little muddy (the very shallow treads fill up).The uppers are actual leather, and the large number of webbing straps help distribute the stress across the top of your foot very well. I don't get any hot spots from the top wearing them on my bare feet. They do fit slightly narrow, which actually keeps the webbing fitting well without having to put too much stress in the top of your foot. The leather stretches ever so slightly over time so they should feel slightly tight when you first get them, and then they break in perfectly. The only down side to the narrowness is that if you have wide arches you might get a little rubbing on the bottom of your arch from where the upper meets the sole. I have relatively wide arches and I get a little rubbing there sometimes if I'm walking in hills and whatnot. On flat ground it gives me no issues.
Very comfortable, durable, light, and look great. Comparing to a pair of Berkenstocks (which are also, very comfortable and look good, but also $125+), these $50 Teva's are a great value.
I typically wear a 10.5 but got these in size 11 and I feel they fit perfectly, so they may run slightly small. Maybe be a good idea to size up half a size. The first thing I noticed is that they are surprisingly light in weight. Which isn't a bad thing at all. They are quite comfortable too. My only complaint is that the sole is of a type of fabric that will absorb foot odor and once you've been wearing these for about a month in the summer the sandal will start to smell pretty bad. Even after scrubbing the sole with chemical cleaners, within a few days the smell will come back. This is a problem with many brands of sandals unfortunately as many are made with a fabric insole that absorb sweat, dirt and odor and it becomes very hard to get the smell out. I'd suggest spraying the insole of the shoe with aerosol deodorant every time before wearing them. Btw, I'm not someone with unusually smelly feet. None of my regular shoes stink after wearing them.
Super comfortable and perfect fit. I wear these every day I can.
They're okay and look pretty good. But the difference in quality between the left and right sandal is weird to me. My right foot fits super well and my left on is constantly needing to be adjusted because the straps are positioned a little differently. There's also noticable defects on the left footpad that aren't on the right. They get the job done though and are overall a confortable pair of sandals. Just wish the quality control was a little higher.
Firstly, I'd returned 3 pair of standard slide sandals because they were too narrow for me, even the adjustable ones. I ordered my regular size after reading another review about how well these sandals fit wide feet with a high arch. They were a bit tight at first, but the leather straps stretched just enough to fit perfectly! Secondly, the footbed is SO comfortable, I could wear them all day, every day! They are also super light and have a nice tred for any surface. I haven't purchased Teva sandals in many years to avoid velcro closures, but am glad I found these. I'll assume they will last well as Tevas are typically durable, but I'll update this review after a while if that isn't the case.
I ordered these just before everything shut down. I started working from home and have worn these slides everyday. Sometimes all day sometimes for 7-8 hours. The top sole is Teva Mush which is comfy and underneath is a good Eva form. These are light to medium duty slides. They are still holding up 6 months later and are still comfy. I am a bigger guy so that says a lot about the durability as I punish footwear.
I dont think these look very cool at all. They look like something old men would wear, but they are comfortable, which is what kept me from returning them. At first I didnt even want to let friends see me wearing them, but Im not in HS and my friends arent jerks. These certainly dont help cultivate any 'look' a 36 year old should shoot for, but they're comfortable, do stretch a bit when wet, but seem to hold up well (having had them for all of 6 weeks).Wish they looked as good as they feel. Perfect for walking the dog alone, seem weird for a guy my age to wear to the beach, but I have, and no one gave me weird disgusted looks. 🤷♂️
