I love these flip flops. They are very comfortable. I love how there is enough thickness that the sole conforms to my instep. I have a very high instep and as a result suffer from plantar fasciitis. These are the only ones I’ve found that give me the support I’m looking for without the expensive price tag. I also like the extra straps across the top. It adds a bit more aesthetics to the design.
I've been wearing these Teva Olowahu flip-flops for at least a decade. They hold up well extremely well with almost daily use. The walking surface usually wears out before one of the straps breaks, but I will say that has happened too. These are comfortable from day one and there's no painful blistering between the toes when I break them in.
I wear these nonstop. I have bought 3 pairs. They have a nice thick sole and they hold secure to the foot, but one of the bands breaks around 6 months in. They can be a little slippery when wet but I find them easy to slip on, looks great with everything I wear and they don't give me blisters even when I walk long distances carrying a two year old....biggest con is chasing already mentioned 2 year old in the rain....they are slippery enough I am safer barefoot at that moment...but they do dry fairly quick. I do find them to feel a little tight and a little flat like a board when new, then as you wear them your foot makes an imprint and they feel just right at that point...but every time I get a new pair they feel a little low on support and comfort for the first few days.
Don't mind the toes lol summer is just starting so no pedi yet hahaha I waited an extra 4 days to get these as my shipment got lost in the mail, which was no big deal. I was super excited to get these as I had a pair a long long time ago and I remember them being comfy af & I had them for about 2 or 3 summers. Well, they got here today & I immediately put them on and can already tell the fabric that goes over the foot is scratchy and kind of hard. Now, granted I understand that some fabric needs to be broken in but I don't remember them being so scratchy & rough. The piece that goes directly between my big toes feels like it's definitely going to cause blisters, or some severe brush burn at the least. With the bands being so rough they are already hard to walk in. I'm going to give them a day or so of wear to see if the roughness goes away or to see if they give me blisters. If they do I will be returning and buying straight from their site as I've seen quite a few reviewers say that these are knock offs and not the actual brand, which might be, because they definitely feel differently! 🤔I usually wear a size 9½ so I ordered a 10 thinking the 9 would be too small. They fit almost perfect length of my feet and don't feel extremely loose but maybe just a smidge. 🤏All in all I gave 3 stars 🌟. They are hella cute for summer but if ya can't walk in them without them rubbing your feet and causing burns or blisters then what good are they?! Imo they should use a softer less scratchy material for over the foot. I'm not even sure how they could think this fabric was the go to fabric if they have QC?! Someone has to realize how rough it is?!So gonna give em a tryfor a day or two and will come back to update whether I return them or not! 🫶UPDATE: Changing my 3/5 stars to 4/5!! Had these sandals all summer and they are amazing!!! After wearing a few days the scratchiness went away & they became more and more comfortable as I wore them and they kind of formed to my foot!! No broken straps of any sort either!! Now they are my go to summer sandal!!! I never got any blisters of any kind!!! I just think the fabric was new and needed stretched out!!! So here's my reminder not to judge a book too quickly by it's cover lol but I do still think the company is using different material than they use to!!! Still comfy af though! Just give them a chance!
Worth the price! Second pair in 5 years! Sturdy and durable
I took my sandals for a road trip to Solvang, CA. I walked everywhere all day, afternoon, and evening and I was not tired at all. Most comfortable sandals I have ever purchased.
Update: I gave them away... I just can't stand shoes that I'm aware of and they are awkward to walk in... like all the strap-support is in the wrong place compared to how your foot moves when you walk. Not only that but I've always known one foot was bigger than the other but this is the first time a shoe was downright painful on one and not the other. I can't stand them.Original post: Ignore my old lady fat feet. Covid got my feet looking neglected lol....I gotta say... I hope they "loosen up" a little. The left shoe seems to fit more comfortably than the right. As you can see the right kinda pinches my toes, but the left doesn't. The part over the toes is a really snug fit for my sausage feet... but the strap that is set further back over the top of the foot seems looser. The end result is that they just don't feel stable on my feet. I feel awkward in the, as if I'm going to "walk right out" of them at any given time. Additionally, on both sides, my pinky toe wants to pop out. This isn't really a flaw of the designer, because my toes pop out of a lot of scrappy sandals like this.I should be wearing a wide shoe, but that's really actually hard to find in sandals and online shopping. I didn't give it 3 stars for that, but because they just feel unbalanced. Like I said, they fit well enough, but I feel like I am going to walk out of them.I do like the soles. They are very comfortable. I have very high arches, so the soles did feel supportive (as much as a standard "flip flop" sandal can, I guess). They are pretty true to size. I don't like my sandals to be too big (a lot of extra toe space). I wear an 8 in tennis shoes, typically, and a 7-7.5 in sandals, so having wide feet, I chose size 8. I did this knowing the straps on my regular size would be too tight. So you can see how much toe room is left. More than I prefer. If I had narrow feet, a 7 would have probably been perfect. If you have narrower feet and longer pinky toe, these will probably be an excellent sandal for you. They really are cute. If they loosen up for me, to become more comfortable, I will update this review... that is, if I can FIND the item... for some reason, Amazon is not showing these flip flop sandals in my purchased items list!?! What's up with that, Amazon??Don't get me wrong, they're cute... just, I'm on the fence with personal pros and cons. Based on what my complaints are, you can add another star to my rating if it doesn't apply to you. If your feet/pinky toes are like mine? 3 stars.
