I have gone through countless pairs of sandals that look great and have a lot of nice padding but cannot hold up to everyday use. They typically last me two or three months before the straps separate from the sole. I decided to go back to basics and get some plain leather ones to see how they hold up. These sandals seem to be very well constructed and are exactly what I was looking for. Only time will tell how durable they are.I have wide feet (EE) and I ordered my normal size the first time thinking that since they have adjustable straps, I could adjust them to the widest position and they would fit, but as it turned out they were too narrow at the base of the straps to adjust far enough. I returned them and ordered the next size up and they fit well and still aren't too long, so if you normally wear a wide shoe, you should go up a size.For those who aren't familiar with unpadded leather sandals, it is important to realized that these will be fairly uncomfortable and tight until they are properly broken in. Natural leather relaxes and stretches with use and over time will become more and more comfortable as they conform to your feet. You can speed this process up dramatically by treating them with leather conditioner or mink oil as soon as you get them. Note that this typically does darken the finish of the leather noticeably. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to do this and it is well worth the 20 or 30 minutes it takes. They are much more comfortable even before being fully broken in if they are re-moisturized by doing this before wearing them for any length of time.

Comfortable even on the first day with no break in. I still have my grandfather's 30yr old sandals and these are almost as comfortable, almost.
This shoe felt like it was a size up from what I normally wear. I bought an 8 and it felt like a 9. The material is nice though it’s just unfortunate they don’t fit me right!

Happy with fit. You can feel the straps under the balls of your feet. The rubber sole means they are wearable straight from the box
