These shoes are great for players that need a lot of support
Great shoes, white doesn't really get dirty or scuff up, and comfortable too, you can also take out the soles if you like to be lower to the ground.
They fit great and give me great support on the court. I feel very mobile and stable. They have a great rubbery outer material which I believe should hold up well over time. Best tennis shoes I’ve ever used. A bit heavier than my last shoes but not unusably so.
I have been wearing Gel-Resolution for 3 generations. Version 7 is good and I still wear it when playing in clay court. Version 8 is bad. Toe box is larger than usual. The plastic material on top of toe box tends to buckle, making noise when I walk. It now has a crack on it, due to this constant bending I assume. Version 9 feels great on my feet, with the right balance of weight and support. I run and cover lots of court, and I found my shoes again.
I'm very happy with my first Asics after a bad experience with Adidas barricade and Nike Vapor. So far is a very comfortable shoe with a minimum or none break in time. Good fit but too early to say something about durability.
The contrast band (tan color in the black Boss shoes) is very inflexible and it cut circulation on my foot. My foot got numb after wearing the shoes for an hour. Of course I can’t return it. Wish they had made the band more flexible. If the shoes feel tight be careful… you may have the same issue I did. The shoe laces are adjustable but that band isn’t which is pretty silly.
