I ordered wide for these since they run narrow. They felt slightly snug but they loosened up once I started to play Pickleball with them. The plastic over wrap is very supportive. The rubber soles provide some good spring. These feel slightly clunky but they are supposed to since there is a lot of side to side support in these. These are very comfortable and supportive shoes.
It fits slightly tight in length & width ( I am 24.5cm & size 7.5 asics) but my feet feel secure on the hardcourt & am able to react quickly. Theyvare really well made - not as cushy as Nike tennis shoes but lighter & more mobile. Did I mention how gorgeous this colour is on - they make me smile.
The photo shows how much longer they are than my other size 9 sneaker. Way too long!I am so disappointed in these tennis shoes. I have narrow feet with high arches. That’s why I bought them. And the width is fine. But they are too long in the toe and I bought the correct size for me, so I don’t understand it. It makes me feel as if - when I run forward - I could trip on my feet. They are made of plastic. Not comfortable. But worst of all, running sideways on the court my whole foot shifted to the side several times and it really hurt. It’s too late to return them. I do not recommend these shoes!!
I bought these shoes to play pickleball as I had rolled my ankle with my old shoes that were not court shoes. They are very comfortable out of the box and true to size. I read some reviews of complaints that the shoe was too narrow in the toe area. As I have narrow feet, they fit me well. I’m counting on them to up my pickleball game!
Stable and durable shoe for court play, lasts longer than other asics I’ve had and for was comfortable
Just about the only shoes I wear everyday are my ASICS gel nimbus. I ordered these in wide, when the shoes arrived they were heavy, not wide, and only had to try on once to know immediately these shoes were not for me.
Came on time and brand new condition. These shoes are stiff but great for tennis players with plantar fasciitis.
I’ve worn Asics Gel Resolutions as my court shoe since 2010. They are the only shoe that I can wear for longer than 6 months without putting holes in the soles or the sides ripping apart. ( I should preface this with the fact that I’ve been off the courts for a few years due to injuries so I’m not sure when the style changed). My older shoes were a combination of some mesh with the plastic exterior. These new ones are all plastic exterior which are great for stability BUT….there is no give in the shoe and it’s like hitting a brick wall when you are moving side to side with abrupt starts and stops. I couldn’t even do “simulations” inside the house for very long without feeling intense pain on the bone that is right below the smallest toe and the toe itself. There is no “give” and because it’s a completely plastic type exterior I doubt that it will loosen up any over time. If you are doing mostly up and back or more gentle side to side to motions, then these would probably be fine, but I couldn’t recommend them if you are a singles player or any type of aggressive player.*. Yes, they are smaller in the toe box as many reviewers noted, which for me is another reason I’ve always liked the Resolutions. I have a narrow foot so I can wear 2 thin pairs of socks and keep my foot from sliding everywhere. Wouldn’t recommend them if you have a wide or “thick” foot.*. Sizing is true to size with all the Asics I have….just order one size up from your “casual” day to day shoes and you should be fine. You want some extra room in front of your toe so you don’t lose a toenail by jamming your foot into the front on a quick stop or movement.
