Nike, the swoosh you know and love, began in 1964 as a handshake between a track coach and his athlete. Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, fueled by a desire for better running shoes, started Blue Ribbon Sports, which later transformed into the global giant Nike. Their mission: to bring innovation and performance to athletes of all levels.
Nike is synonymous with pushing the boundaries of athletic performance. They constantly develop cutting-edge technologies like Air cushioning and Flyknit materials to deliver peak performance for athletes.
this last pair of Monarchs was a bust..... don't know if true NIKE or not.. returned for refund... thank you AMAZON... will try again and hope AMAZON is the seller....
I'm on my feet all day walking at work and this show is comfortable. It is a well made shoe and I anticipate it will last a decent amount of time. The shoe cost me $90 somewhat more than the average pair but it is worth the little extra money.
These seem like good shoes so far, although I can't say how long they will last. The size is about right, but the width is tending toward narrower than the size indicates. I got size 15EEEE, and they seem a bit narrower than that. Overall, they're comfortable and look decent.
I have tried every brand of training, walking, and aerobic shoe and I finally found a shoe that can stand up to my active exercise lifestyle. I used to turn my ankle a few times a year with other shoes and my metatarsal would be sore to the touch at least once a month. Since I have been wearing these Air Monarchs, I have not turned an ankle and my metatarsal is never sore. I have recently started using orthotics for my other shoes and they fit perfectly in the Air Monarchs with plenty of toe room. The last in these shoes is very strong and the shoes will retain form anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on how many classes you take a week. If you workout indoors, the soles will not breakdown. I have pronounced pronation so I tend to wear out shoe soles quickly when I walk a lot, but indoors the first part of the shoe to age is the last and the shoes start to provide less support. The ball area has a round sole support which is good for spinning, turning, and other jazzercize moves.I also tend to wear holes in the toe area. Because these shoes are leather, toe wear is non-existent.I highly recommend these shoes for any type of aerobic exercise.I finally zeroed in on a size comfortable for me that is one size larger than my regular shoe size, primarily because I wear thick socks when I exercise which helps stimulate blood return as I am considered beyond middle age and my feet can swell more often. I would recommend you try shoe sizes before you buy. I order one size up on all Nike gear from experience.
Light, cushioned, supportive and, with proper insoles, I get a great workout with these shoes. Fit accurate.
Received wrong size but all the people who I know have them swear by them.
Sending these back they have been worn for awhile, stayed as repackaged not worn.
I wanted the 4e wide size in a 10. I got the regular width in an 11. It does fit but is a bit long. Not going through the hassle to send back and reorder. I have worn these shoes for years and they help my feet and I think my back. I just wish they were made in USA. Maybe someday.
