Love the fit. Looks good too
These fit true to size and are very comfortable. I sometimes have trouble with athletic shoes because of the arch. I am very happy with the fit and the color is awesome!
I have another Ryka pair of sneakers and decided, based upon the reviews, to try the Devotion XT. This model provides excellent support all around, but especially in the arch and the width. I have wide feet (W-7), and a previous bout with Plantar Fasciitis. I can't wear shoes that are totally flat or that have no cushioning. These molded to my feet immediately, and the memory foam insole is comfy. It may have to be replaced, eventually, with a commercial insole, but for now, this works great.I was also looking for a Summer shoe, in a lighter color, and this light grey/white with stripes of blue is so cute. I would caution that, if you must have leather in a shoe, this is a completely man made product, but the mesh of the shoe feels study and, at the same time, does provide support. I should also say that I bought these for every day use. I am not a runner.I will absolutely keep the Devotion XT in mind for my next purchase.
The sole is perfect for dance or Zumba classes as it has extra features for quick and easy movements especially on the ball of the foot where you need to pivot. This is the fourth pair of these shoes I have purchased, obviously I’m very pleased with their performance.
I’ve loved Ryka shoes for almost 20 years. They’ve been great for all kinds of activities, but I was having trouble with workouts I’ve started recently, like dancing and HIIT, that required pivoting on the balls of my feet. Those treads I loved for hiking were just too grippy for these workouts. The pivot point on this shoe makes pivoting and sliding easy, while still feeling stable.I love the extra cushioning around the ankle. It has the typical bouncy cushioning and grips my heel better than other Ryka shoes, which I sometimes have to heel lock. I do wish there was an extra hole so heel locking was an option, but so far the shape and extra padding at the mouth of the shoe has done the job.I absolutely love these shoes for my workouts.
These shoes are very comfortable and offer great support. I love the cut out behind the ankle so it doesn't rub. The purple/pink/white are really cute too. The con is that they run small and narrow. I sized up 1/2 a size as I wanted to use for workouts but they are too small and narrow for what I need. They have a narrow toe box. I gave them to my daughter who has smaller feet and they fit her great.
What I like about Ryka shoes is that they have a removable insole that allows me to put in my custom shoe inserts. I like the wide width which increases the toe box size for added comfort. These were comfortable right out of the box. Very lightweight. But comparing this shoe to a pair I bought 10 years ago the materials seem cheaper. I was happy to find a pair with black soles. I read that white soles were cheaper to make but personally I don't like the white outer soles. I want to buy another pair but will wait to see how these hold up. I am an RN and walk all day long at work.
Beautiful shoes as always, I've worn Ryka's for many years and they make gorgeous women's shoes. I had to write a review on these because this is the first pair of Ryka's I've ever bought that I couldn't just wear out of the box. These blistered my heel so badly that I can't wear anything but flip flops until the blisters heal. I've never gotten a single blister from a pair of Ryka's so this is a first. Also noted that the toe box is narrow, even though I wear an 8W and they rubbed red areas on my outer toes - just short of blistering. Since I bought these shoes for my 'next pair' a few months ago, I can't return them, and I really did try to break them in - heel tape, toes wrapped, on multiple 3-4 mile walks. Sad to say, I had to pitch them.
