Week 1:Size/fit: I would order a half size up!The size of these are amazing. Not too bulky and the material of the shoe gives it a nice and snug fit. Around the ankle and heel area is really secure also due to the way they designed the shoe!Unfortunately, it seems like workout shoes have gotten a little narrow year after year. I used to be a 10.5 for the metcon 4s. I tried the 5s, but I ended up returning them because I didn't like the size and the fit even though I went a half size up. I also ended up trying the reebok nano x, but I ended up returning those also. I didn't like the bulky feeling of the nanos especially since I had to go a 1/2 size up. I really like the size and fit on the tribase reign 3 over the nanos and the metconsStyle: the color ways are way better than last year!I got the light grey and white style, and I love the style of the shoe. A huge improvement compared to the color ways last year. Kudos to the design team of under armour they are getting this right!Performance: BEST OVERALL WORKOUT SHOE!With the perfect mixture comfort, stability, and performance versatility these are the best shoes out of the box. NO BREAK IN PERIOD NECESSARY! Compared to the metcons, the tribase reign 3s are way more comfortable. The stability of the metcons do have the slight edge, but with a 2mm heel drop you won't have any problem in these with any workout. When I was doing kettlebell swings, cleans, and snatches not once did I have an issue with gripping the floor. I've never done olympic lifts or participated in crossfit, but I truly believe these shoes will perform well with those particular lifts. With squats and deadlifts these performed well. Squats in particular, I didn't feel any compression. I would believe these would perform well up until 315+lbs.So far so good. I highly recommend this shoe! I will update you after a month, and after 6 months on the durability of the shoe.
Oh man these shoes are super comfy and fit like a glove! Haven’t walked on them much but so far they’re super comfortable to wear. Love the look and colors as well
This is a very comfortable cozy shoe from the moment l saw them l had to have them everything you would need to have an easy enjoyable workout without a foot discomfort very pleased would definitely recommend.
I've tried both Reebok Nanos and Nike Metcons, and have never been happy with either of them, so I wanted to try something different. I researched the UA Tribase Reign 3 shoes and decided to give them a try. I've been using them for about two months now and I'm very happy with them. I've done some strongman with them (heavy yoke, stones) and a lot of CrossFit WODs with squats, deads, and the olympic lifts. And they've been awesome with everything. I always feel solid when going heavy, and they're comfortable to wear. I've done some WODs that included heavy lifting mixed with some runs. I've run up to 800 m in them and they're perfectly adequate for that distance.I didn't give them a 5 because as some reviewers have mentioned, they are narrow in the toe box. If I'm standing around not doing anything I feel it, but while I'm working out I never notice it all. I do have an average to slightly wider foot size. Yet I still find them more comfortable shoes to wear than the Nanos or Metcons.I typically wear a 10.5 US shoe size and ordered these in that size. They fit perfectly except for being slightly narrow as mentioned before.
You hear a lot about the Nike Metcons and Reebok Nanos. Both those shoes are too wide for me. These are perfect. I generally go a half size up for all my running and workout shoes. Im 11.5 foot (12N in boot size) and size 12 works well for me in these shoes.Good fit, not a lot of lift in the heal, so pretty flat, how I like them. If you are a power lifter they maybe too shallow in lift. But for all around fitness, oly lifts, kettlebells and sandbags with some running they are great.Once I like a shoe, I try to buy more since manufacturers are always changing the design. I will be buying more of these for sure.
Looks great and feels comfortable after about a week to break them in. Good traction. A little narrower and tight compared to my last Adidas ultraboost which didn’t need a break in period to feel comfortable. Would definitely feel okay to buy them again knowing it’ll feel right if you can allow a week to break them in.
Loved the fit and feel of this pair of shoes so much that I bought a second pair (in a different color), one for work and one for play. They seem a little narrow at first, but honestly it's more of a perfect fit like a glove whether I'm running around with my kids outside or just walking around.
The Tribase Rein 3 are fantastic shoes. I got them for a Spartan Stadium race and they worked great. Light, comfortable, great traction, and just enough cushion for a 5k race. I also use them for CrossFit training and I really like the stability and traction.
