Nice shoes. No need to break them in
I bought these because I thought ASICS were comfy shoes. These were like walking on cardboard. No support and no cushion. My toes fell asleep within 10 min of wearing them. Would not recommend for pickleball.
I upgraded to these shoes from tennis shoes that were kind of squishy. These ASICS shoes fit true to size and I’d say run a bit narrow because I have narrow feet and they feel great. I noticed better traction on the court and better control of stops and starts plus great support while playing.
The style was nice, fit was true to my normal size but it was too hard and plastic. I like shoes with firm insoles but this didn't have enough normal padding for me
Pros: color is the happiest. Width and length is perfect for me. True to size possibly bigger than expected. Sturdy sole which I need.Cons: I’ll definitely be putting my own supportive insole being i prorate slightly and there’s not a ton of support There’s some but not enough for my pronation. The shoelaces are too short if you use the extra shoelace holes. No biggy there I bought white shoelaces that look much better than the black.So I decided thé pro outweigh the con. Kept em’ ready to sink and slam.
After playing tennis for years, my wife moved to pickleball and continues to wear ASICS. Very supportive and comfortable, they provide very sure footing on the court.
I purchased these Asics Pickleball shoes because Asics has a stellar reputation for high quality court shoes. I have purchased Asics shoes many times over the past 10 years to play tennis. SO, when these fantastic hot pink shoes showed up I had to have them. I ordered them in mid-July 2023 and started wearing them to play Pickleball in August 2023. It is now September 28, 2023 and the pink material used on the shoes are starting to split (see photos). Everytime I wear the shoes for Pickleball there is more splitting in the material. I have never had a pair of Asics shoes breakdown in such a short period of time. I am so disappointed in the performance of these shoes. For $89 I was hoping to get 4 to 6 months use out of them.
Was afraid of a narrow toe box, but was not the case. Lots of compliments at the pickle ball court.
