Love this shoe. I normally wear a size 7 so I ordered a size 38. It fits well if not slightly long. Plenty of room for heavier socks. The support and heal cushion are top notch. I walk a good 5 miles a day. These provide the comfort needed for walking on hard concrete. Dansko is a quality shoe and I'll be buying more. These are well worth the money.
Love the look and fit of these tennis shoes. I pronate on my left side and often experience hip pain when I do not get the right support and walk correctly. The shoes hold my foot restricted to stay stationed to my stride. I highly recommend there shoes that I ordered another pair.
I needed a sturdier shoe than my usual athletic trainers and a friend recommended this Dansko shoe. I took the risk of ordering online (since I wear a wide size) and was pleased to discover that these shoes fit perfectly. They are comfortable, with lots of cushion in the insole, and I was able to wear them for an extended walk immediately, without a break-in period. Since they ARE sturdier than what I'm used to, they have a heavier feel than I expected, but I can tell that the quality of construction will make them last a long time - and I expect that I will quickly adjust to the sturdy feel. I can tell already that these shoes will perfectly serve the purpose for which I need them! And they are attractive, not clunky looking like so many wide shoes are. I'm very happy with this puchase!
I bought my first pair at Zappos and this second pair, black, at Amazon, as Zappos colors and sizes were very limited at the time (I like Zappos policies and shipping much better, but again, the second shoe wasn't available). The shoe shape is ... not the most attractive, somewhat rounded and bulby like a Keen, BUT, despite that, it does look cute. My picky sister thought they were cute too, not orthopedic and clunky like many of the Dansko shoes. I like the colors, and, although some customers complained, I feel bouncy yet sturdy in the shoes. I wanted a shoe that I could wear with slacks but not uncomfortable, more like a tennis shoe-oxford tie hybrid. The uppers are very stiff so I can't tighten the lower lace area, but that isn't necessary at this time. I started wearing Dansko when I had plantar fasciitis; I had much wider feet at that time so I wouldn't have been able to wear this shoe model as it's not wide. Some folks complained that the sole was slippery on wet floors; I cannot address that I didn't want to wear them my first time in winter nor do I work on wet floors; I'm sure they would do as well as any non-snow boot on snow and ice. I can't address the arch support; I have flat arches but don't notice either way with this shoe.
I love everything about this shoe, style, comfort, and the look. The shoes are not loose or tight fitting. I wore them Sunday morning from early morning to bedtime around 11-ish pm, and my feet feel great, and no aching from standing or walking. I have searched different websites and in-store looking for the perfect shoes that offer support and comfort and was unsuccessful in my search. With Dansko I found the perfect shoes. I love these shoes after I got them last week. I ordered 2 other colors today, and I plan on ordering all the colors I have not purchased soon!
Like the comfort and durability
I really wanted to love these shoes, but they are simply not as advertised. This is super disappointing since since they’re not inexpensive. As far as comfort, they cannot be beat! I’m a baker and am on my feet 8-10 hours a day. I have an unfortunate combination of high arches, narrow heels, and bunions. Finding a shoe that fits well, yet alone is comfortable is very difficult. These Dansco shoes are not only comfortable, but offer amazing arch support and enough room in the toe box that my bunions aren’t rubbing on the side of the shoe. They are also relatively easy to break in, which took about 4-5 days. Word of caution, order up a half size. Now that all the good thing have been addressed, let’s talk about the bad. These shoes are advertised as slip resistant, which they are definitely NOT. The very first time I walked across a freshly mopped work floor I nearly face planted into a prep table! This is really frustrating since I’m required to have slip resistant shoes for work. These shoes are also advertised as water resistant, which they are not! The first thing I do when I get home from work is take off my shoes because my socks are wet.So, to review…. Very comfortable and well made shoe which should hold up for a while. Shoes are NOT slip resistant and they are NOT water resistant, which is very disappointing and dangerous if you’re buying these with the intention of using them as a work shoe.
These are perfect for a long shift on your feet. Very supportive, non slip, Dansko brand is hard to beat. These aren’t going to wear out any time soon.
