Nice fit! Good value for your money.
I bought these because a) I wanted Velcro strap shoes, and b) I wanted heavier/stiffer soles than average athletic/walking shoe. I walk & shop in these but also use them for yard work, especially digging - pushing down on shovel was hurting my feet. The straps are appropriate quality for the price point.
Fit great, look nice, but heavy!
The tongue is TOO SHORT. It barely clears the top velcro closure. The tongue is very STIFF at the end and caused pain, especially while running. I have to leave the top end of the tongue ABOVE the top strap. They work okay doing it this way, BUT I should not have to do that. Other than that, I like them.
Guide Gear Walking Shoes for Men Hook-and-Loop, Comfortable Velcro Shoes for Work, Casual, Working 13 regular these shoes seem very well made. I have to wear a brace (AFO) in my left shoe so adjustable fit is a must. I don't understand the need for elastic straps to hold the tongue down. I cut out that in my left shoe to make it easier to get on and off. It's not causing any problems with my "good" foot. If the velcro holds up it a good buy. I appreciate the longer than usual straps! I wasn't pushed to give 5 stars. Hopefully I won't have to take any away. UPDATE...11 months later and I'm still wearing them! The velcro loop is showing just minimal wear but is holding great. Other than regular wear, the shoes are looking good and holding up fine.
I've been looking for a shoe to replace the Crosstrecker's that I've been wearing for years and stumbled upon these. I've been wearing the same size for many years, 10.5 Wide without issue. All shoes will deviate a bit in size but the pair I received was about 20 mm too long and 20 mm too wide, cannot use and had to sent back, and yes the label was confirmed to be the correct size.In addition the tongue is way too short which needed to be at least another inch longer and lastly here's the really weird part. The forward part of the shoes towards the toes will not sit flush with the ground as the design curls upward. In other words when you wear this shoe, it feels like the toes are hanging over the edge of a cliff because there is no material or a correct angle that supports the toes to be parallel to the ground. It could be a pretty good shoe if the aforementioned issues were corrected. My first return on Amazon ever, but at least it was not a hassle however; the vendor made no attempt to resolve the fitment issues as I'm sure this complaint is nothing new.
At first, I had a little problem with the tongue hitting my ankle, but the tongue quickly softened and was comfortable. It's hard to find a Velcro slip-on for a narrower foot. Dr. Scholl only make wide widths. I ordered a pair and could turn around in them without taking them off, lol Anyway, this is a very comfortable shoe.
Shoe is very sturdy and easy to put on. True to size.
