I have searched for years for a comfortable sport shoe to play pickleball in. While these are advertised as a walking shoe, the soles are perfect for the court, soft toe box stopped the constant bruising on the end of my toes from hard rubber toe boxes and lightweight. I am just so sad that Ryka has discontinued this shoe style……
I cannot emphasize how much I love these shoes. They had arch support right out of the box and they only got more comfortable from there. They mold and fit to my feet the more I wear them, without losing that great arch support. I got these while I was a CMA at an outpatient clinic. I was on my feet for at least 7-8 hours. These got me through the day without hurting my feet. They feel secure and there is no looseness, yet they are comfortable and breathable. I swear by them and I recommend them to anyone who will listen to me rave about them. Highly recommend!!
Set is good. It comes in wide widths so that helps a lot like the parents of the shoe colors and style. It is helped my feet not hurt as bad seems to fit good in the arch also.
The “anatomical” build of the shoe must only pertain to the heel where the insole says it because my big toe runs into the side of shoe and there is no transverse arch support so the toe box is not anatomical. The fabric is comfortable and stretchy so it has some give if you’re someone with a bunion, but this pointed toe shoe design does not promote natural toe splay if that’s what you’re looking for in a walking shoe. This shoe model has a very high arch so as someone with a neutral arch this shoe is very uncomfortable, it doesn’t seem to say it’s a stability shoe so I was surprised by how high the arch is. I’m doing a lot of foot work in PT and is helping my back pain, but my dr agreed this model will set all the foot and toe work we have been doing with my brisk walks that’s been helping my back pain a lot. They are really pretty and feels much more like a walking shoe, which definitely makes a difference compared to running shoes or trainers, my step feels like it lands solidly. I have to size up in Ryka brand half a size, I’m a 10 1/2 but take the 11 in their models which usually aren’t sold in stores so I was excited to intially get these.
Arch support is great. Light and very comfortable and CUTE!
These are the most comfortable walking sneakers I've ever had. I've tried quite a few. I've had plantar faciatis, pain on the outer side of one foot and occasionally tenderness of my arch. This resulted in my having to take physical therapy. Afterwards I received the Ryka Myriad in Grey, sneakers as a birthday gift. They were great for me. I can wear them all day. I usually wear a 7.5M. They were a bit tight. I returned them for a 8M. I liked them so much I purchased the blue for myself. They are light weight. The arch support is good & they hold the sides of my feet firmly but comfortably.
I have a fractured toe. I also work on my feet about 16 hours a day. These sneaker are constructed just as they say. narrow in the back and slightly wider in the front. Perfect for a women's foot. Saucony (although the color are horrible now) is the sneaker I normally wear, especially with a foot injury. I saw these on a coworker in the lab. They looked like they would work well with scrubs. I was really concerned about the number of hours I am on my feet and the pain while healing. I am able to pull a full day without pain, making it very easy to run all day with patients. Amazing sneakers.
The width is wide enough but the toe area is made for very thin feet. My toes go to sleep. And for a walking shoe there is very little cushion in the sole. My first pair of Rykas and my last.
