Like to walk at work during breaks and have to stand for some job tasks. My other shoes were feeling too big, so decided to go down a size, but wanted to try them first! Nice shoes and great fit. Just as described, they are comfy and perfect for walking!
Typical sketcher squishy soles. Very cute and comfy
I ain't gonna lie. When I took these out of the box, I thought they were an ugly shape, and looked huge. I put my feet in them, sitting down. I'm an 8 1/2 - 9 in dress shoes. I tried 8 1/2, after reading reviews. My arch seemed to rise up, unflatteringly, and the top of the toe box cut into my foot. My pudge puffed out around the opening. I did notice they were a perfectly secure length and width for my feet. I chucked them back in the box, though. Later, my mom came over and I told her "I don't know what to do with these shoes. They do fit.." She asked if they were comfortable, so I put my feet in them again, but this time I walked around. They are SO COMFORTABLE. The most comfortable passable dress flat I have had in...ever! And I have tried some expensive brands! My feet sunk into the shoe as I walked and, as if by magic, the toe box enlarged and the pudge disappeared, as I put weight on the thick foam insoles. Now, they were looking pretty good! You really don't notice the wide, rounded outsole from up above. It just looks big when you hold it up in front of you. I would be comfortable wearing these to work, to events...really anywhere but the club, or something more formal than I ever go to. Shoot, these would be comfy dancing shoes. I think I might wear them with a distracting top! My first impression was wrong. These are nicer, on. They are breaking in, too. And you can machine wash these? I am in love! I'm glad I got these instead of the woven variety, as I have a white cat and textile shoes end up collecting hair and dust (in most brands). My Skechers have stayed nice, but I got lighter colors to be safe. The toe box just barely covers my big toes, with my bunion deformity. I do have to wiggle into the shoe as firmly as I can, so they are covered. After that, the insole molds to the imprint of my foot, and now my toes slip in easily. What a difference from shoes I have to continuously readjust my feet in all day! There is just a normal, comfortable amount of space in front of my toes. They don't squish my toes and they don't fall off. I do think a deeper toe box would be more flattering, to avoid looking stuffed into the shoe. Also, a little more length in the toe box would be nice, to hide toes and misshapen feet. A more oval opening would be perfect and slimming, rather than the wide, squarish lines just above the toes. I'm not a shoe expert, so I'm going to assume Skechers chose this shape, for some reason. They feel like I'm walking on fluffy clouds, so I am not trying to complain! Do your feet and your nerve receptors a favor, and get yourself these shoes, if you can! I am thrilled I could get these on Layaway. I don't think I would have coughed up the full amount in one paycheck, but 5 monthly payments was manageable. I have been wanting Skechers walking shoes for several years, and that finally made it possible. The price does seem a bit steep, but I know I won't regret this purchase (assuming they hold up well). They appear to have sturdy construction. They do have removeable insoles. I wonder if replacements can be purchased. I never knew flats could be this comfortable. These even exceed the comfort of my previous Skechers! If they made these in multiple colors, I would definitely buy more.
I have wide feet and the shoe is comfortable and fits perfectly!
I teach and move on my feet all day. I needed a professional shoe that is comfortable but can move between the look of a dress and pants. this shoe is really easy to slip on and gives me good support all day. I was concerned as it is not a leather shoe and I really dislike the pleather look but it does not look fake at all. There is a benefit too because it does not stretch like leather and the shoe is loose. The shoe has a bit of gap in the center and will come off my foot at time but I do not have a problem with heel slip. Overall cute, comfortable, supportive shoe.
I will start by saying that i have plantar fasciitis and that I normally despise Sketchers shoes. I have normal width feet, but I like a wide toe box because I prefer having space available for my toes in shoes. I needed a black shoe that would let me look more professional than my Brooks Ghost shoes (that I adore). I also don't want a heel due to my foot issues. I bought a different version of these that cover the tops of my feet and thought they were satisfactory. So I bought this pair to go better with my pants that have a narrower ankle. These shoes are far from perfect comfort-wise. I wish they had a roomier toe box and better overall support. My feet sometimes still ache at the end of the day, but not as badly as other work shoes I have tried. They are the best affordable shoes I have found so far for a shoe that I can be on my feet all day and still look professional. I wish that more companies would make more supportive, simply styled work shoes that do not look too much like a grandma shoe and do not have a heel. I normally would not have even tried Sketchers (most Sketchers are a 1 out of 5 for me) but I was desperate to find a pair that would meet my needs that I gave them a chance. I would gladly pay dearlyly for a comfortable, simple, leather, supportive shoe with no heel, and a wide toe box, but I have not found the perfect pair yet. These will do for now, (Sketchers getting a rating of 3 from me is a big deal) but I am still looking.
Comfortable with a great fit
Let me start out by saying I love sketchers in general, but these shoes are AMAZING! They've got everything I want in a dress shoe, comfortable, light weight and best of all washable. They were a bit large but a a quick cushion at the back will take care of that.
