Comfortable and sturdy! Speedo products usually do not disappoint.
Have had other brands during several years of regular kayaking here in FL. My shoe size is right in between 10 1/2 and 11. Went with 11 and fit is both secure and comfortable. Soles are thick enough to afford protection from things you don’t want to step on - hooks, lures, sharp shells, oyster beds - but not at all bulky or stiff. Very nice product and well worth the little bit more cost. Look nice too…
I bought a pair of these for me, my wife, and teen son for our trip to Maui. These shoes were terrific! They were great for rock climbing, rugged trails, lava rocks, and rocky beaches. Comfortable and sure-footed.
The shoes themselves seem to be high quality and I expect them to last a good while longer than other, cheaper water shoes, mainly all the other ones I could find for under $40 on Amazon and the $20 cheapos you get at walmart. And luckily these were on sale for $30 when I bought them. However the sizing has been a slight mess. I normally wear an 11 to 11.5 and the 11 size shoes were too snug on me. I then ordered a 12 but Amazon has sent me a 13... which is of course too big on me. I really do love the look and quality of these shoes though so I just re-ordered a 12 and hopefully they give me the right pair this time because that should be a perfect fit. If I get another 13 ima be salty and I'll be back here in a few days to let you know.EDIT: Welp it's a few days later and I'm salty. Got yet another size 13 instead of a 12 so I'm done giving Amazon a chance on this item. The official Speedo website is a lil pricier but they have 25% promo codes rn and hopefully know how to read so maybe, just maybe I'll get an actual size 12 one of these days soon. 4th times the charm.
Yes, there are cheaper options than a Speedo water shoe both on Amazon and at the big box sporting goods store. Most of the cheaper options just have an inferior sole. The Speedo gets the sole just right. I wear these while standup paddle boarding. I did not want a really hard sole that would lose connection and feel from the board. I wanted a sole strong enough to protect my feet if I step on sharp barnacles, shells, or glass and avoid sunburn. Speedo excels on these fronts and that is worth paying a little more for.
excellent water shoes. gets the job done.
Fast shipping, item is a perfect fit and super comfortable.
These are probably the narrowest shoes I've ever bought. I don't have measurably wide feet, but the ball of my foot is probably right on the edge of needing a wide size, but this is why I buy all my shoes in a men's 10 when my feet are more of a 9. I bought the 10 in these and the joints of my pinky toes and big toes are pushing out beyond the sole by more than 1/4" on each side. The material is quite stretchy, and the tight fit is great for keeping sand out, but if your feet are any kind of barely wide at all, go way up in size.
