I have worn magnifly’s and ultrafly’s for 4 years now. I never got into the zero drop magnifly’s bc 5mm drop is my fav. The zephyr ‘s are fast and feel soooo good on my feet. Wide toe box like all topo’s, hugs the mid, and locks the heel. They do make a little noise with the new plate in shoe but that’s only bc I’m not landing completely mid foot which is the safest place to land for myself. Firm shoe gives a little pop and tip forward. Absolutely the best shoes for 5k runs. I don’t run much more than that bc it gets boring. Those are lock laces cuz I hate tying my shoes
I’m new to running so I’ve been experimenting with a few brands (e.g., Hoka, ASICS and Altra), but I️ found these to be the best for me. They’re true to size and the width fits wide feet perfectly - especially while running. It took a day to get comfortable with the sole plate because I️ hadn’t used a shoe that roles me forward. The shoes are extremely comfortable and light weight, which makes it much easier to run for someone new to the sport.I️ typically run 4 to 6 miles a day on a treadmill and another 3 to 4 miles a day walking the dogs and these shoes are holding up great. I’ve had them for about two months and I️ don’t see any significant wear.
After only 6 weeks the bottom of these shoes are coming unglued. They are super comfortable but quality of the sole is no good. Had another pairs that have lasted me 2 yr of hard use.
Pluses:light and bright shoe.Fairly Roomy toebox. I normally go for 4E width in brands such as brooks and asics. Midfoot is medium to narrow for my feet but secures nicely.Arch support is high (needs little getting used to for my medium arches).Definitely has a pop and speed, pushing you to go faster.Negatives:have only run two 3-4 milers. still feels a bit stiff. Not sure if this will work for slow and easy 6-10+ mile runs. The built-in plate makes a lot of noise while running. Will use this for speed work and 5k to 10k distances.
They fit and give lot of space for the toes and they are very breathable for when the day is hot. I use them for taking long walks and it helps with no feeling the floor and they are very confortable.I recommend you.I haven't try running with them but it is because I feel out of shape. I'll go back to swimming first loose weight and then I can run.
If you like great fitting, fast and moderately cushioned shoes, then buy these right now.
The most comfortable she I have ever worn! And I purchase 6 pairs a year ranging between $100.00-$300.00. I broke my heel three yrs. Ago. I now have two plates and eight screws in my foot and it's very hard to find a good shoe. the search is over! I'll continue to buy these shoes!!
Great training shoe. Toebox is wide and accommodating for my hobbit feet.
