I love these. These are my second pair. They look like tennis shoes so completely appropriate for beach shopping, dining, etc. and then you can go straight to the beach. I wear them to protect my feet from hot sand, anywhere there are shells (especially oyster shells.. ouch!), and in lakes where I don't like the feel of the sand. They are light weight so they don't affect my ability to swim at all, they are alot more comfortable than your typical water shoes, and with all the air they allow in, my feet don't get "raisin-y" as quickly. They do take a little time to dry (a couple of hours)... I ordered my second pair so I don't have to stick my feet back in wet ones (pet peeve of mine).
I wasn't expecting much since these were considered to be "water shoes" but they are super comfy and CUTE! They do have some arch support, and I find I wear them daily around the house, and even out shopping in the summer without my feet hurting. I purchased over a year ago, and they still look new after washing. I don't dry in the dryer, mainly because they air-dry fairly fast. I feel the sizing was true to size, and would highly recommend not only for the comfort, but because they are super cute!
Haven't been to the beach in years, and since that time, my feet have become very sensitive. I wasn't sure I could manage it barefooted, so I thought I'd try these shoes. I doubted them -- I was concerned they wouldn't be supportive, that my feet would slide around in them once they got wet, or that they'd fall apart since they were cheap. But these exceeded my expectations! Nice fit, great stability, good drainage, quick drying, and held up to sand and ocean waves, not to mention all the rinsing after the beach. These shoes make me want to hit the beach more often, knowing that my feet will be protected and comfortable.
First let me say that I have very narrow feet and some types of shoes rub blisters. That being said.. these shoes rubbed so many blisters that I had to wear socks while wearing them. (Wearing socks kinda defeats the whole purpose of water shoes.) However, the comfort and cushion of the insole was amazing! If I was only rating the sole of these shoes I would give them a 5+. Unfortunately my heels being covered in blisters from the fabric getting wet was disappointing and painful. The shoes were also slightly difficult to get on.I found the colors to be bright and cheerful, the sizing was correct, the price was fair, and the insoles are incredible! Perfect water shoes if you are not prone to blisters.
I love these water shoes and habitually wear them as daily shoes. They are fun and very comfortable to wear, offering some arch support. They have a fine mesh that keeps pebbles out, and they look good! They are. I have ordered three pairs over the last several years and plan on continuing to order them. They are true to size.
Lightweight and comfortable. Easy to put on and take off. Like the color. Just be sure to rinse off after being in chlorine !
I use these for aqua aerobics 5 days a week and they never fail to work great!I've used my old ones for a MINIMUM of 8 months now and they're still going strong, haven't worn out, still fit great.I just want another pair in a different color!!!True to size.UPDATE-I kept the same color because they go with my red bathing suits!Since I kinda “slide” my heels up & down the side, the black parts underneath kinda get loose, so I waterproof’Gorilla Glue’d” the on the base.WORKED.Well worth the money. If you get them and they by any chance seem too loose, you can always wear half socks with them to fit better. (I did that when I bought size 8’s which were too big, so I a little bit later I bought this pair of 7.5’s and gave my size 8’s to an aqua classmate. She was SO grateful that she baked me some cakes!! Which I shared with the rest of the class.)Remember that they will be a little looser when you get in the water.Due to the support inside the shoes, they’re great for walking in or thru water. Great for the beach, pool, or as a gift to someone who does aqua aerobics or wades thru beaches or creeks.Great for anything to do with water, even short hikes & if you go through creeks. (I’m looking at YOU, Hawaii!!)Before I bought these, I tried other cheaper ones (from a WM store) and they only lasted through a couple of classes, because you do a lot of 'toe' work to keep yourself anchored to the bottom of the pool. Your toes do most of the work, and therefore the cheaper ones wear out VERY quickly.Remember to 'undo' the top lace part, put them on, then slide that top lace part down. The 'laces' are elastic.
They fit a little small, but they really let the water flow through in the pool. Using them fir water PT, which is fine. Then did laps in them, which actually worked too.My only complaint is that one of the end caps of the laces came off when I tried them on, and I didn't even pull on it.
