This was my second pair of Abilene boots. I've worn worn a pair for outdoor work around the place for a couple of years and really liked them. They fit as they should according to shoe size. I have several pairs of Tony Lama's and the Abilene's wear every bit as good as them and are actually more consistent in size/fit. Buy'em.....I don't think you can go too wrong.JC
I'm not really sure what happened here. I've been a 10.5 D since I was 14. I have owned numerous pairs of boots. Never have I been unable to get a pair on. My foot made it to the bottom of the shaft and that was the end of the road. I couldn't tell anyone about the instep, the toe box, or the heel, as I never got that far. Maybe a larger size in this brand(?). They looked great, just wish I could have at least gotten them on. That's why I only gave them 3 stars. Looks were great. I really couldn't give them an accurate review.update. I'm an idiot. It's been so ling since I wore boots I forgot to stand up and us my weight. Dahhhh.
Liked them alot and right out of the box they fit better than my Lucchesse boots but the Lucchesse's are handmade and better quality.
Fit was a little big but I think they were a wide fit. I added a thin insole and they fit good. Over all Abilene boots are good boots.
Great looking and very comfortable. I’ve got a lot of compliments on them. They fit true to my size.
I purchased these for my son for Xmas. He loved them. Says they fit well and are of good quality. Excellent shipping time.
Beautiful boots (Extremely Beautiful) made in Pennsylvania but if you have wider than average feet, as many of us do, don’t waste your time. I had to return my 9.5 EE’s because they were just too narrow. It seems that whatever Abaline considers to be “wide”, just isn’t really that wide. And what they consider to be EE, is probably just a single E, if any such animal exists. I phoned Abilene Boots in Pennsylvania to find out more about available boot widths and to share my dilemma with them. I spoke with a very lackluster gal that managed to conjure, with some effort, a ho-hum response for my every question. Long story short, they don’t make any EEE’s at all. I wish they did because they were one handsome pair of boots that I sorely wanted for myself. In any event, they look good in the box, but sadly, that just don’t get it.But the story doesn’t end there. I went into a place called Stockyard in Sarasota FL and purchased a pairof Ariat’s (regretfully, made in China) - same size, 9.5 EE, and they snugly but smartly popped onto my feet with magnificent perfection and I know that after breaking in, they will be comfortable in all the right places and although they look mediocre compared to the Abilene’s, my world will again be spinning on a well greased axis.So a friendly word to the nice folks at Abilene....l like your boots better than these Ariat’s any day of the week but the fit is terrible. AND if you ever start making double E’s that are really genuine double E’s, let me know, I’ll buy them.
This is a beautifully crafted pair of boots! They are a bit nicer than I actually expected.
