Ariat Mens Heritage Roper Western Boot Black 10 Wide

I ordered these boots for my dad, who is impossible to please. He is very fussy about his boots, and they needed to be:black, not too shiny, not have an advertising logo visible, be unlined (just leather, so he can wear them in summer), have classic styling and stitching, rounded toe, not too grippy on bottom, but not absolutely slick, have no leather "by-products", go up high enough on his leg, and fit under his jeans. We actually found something close to custom order - for about $250-300, non-returnable (Did I mention they couldn't be more than $150?). Not only would that seem impossible to find, but he needed them to be available in extra-wide sizes because I guess his feet are a bizarre shape. AND he wanted them by next week, since his "work sneakers" were falling apart at the seams. He wanted these to be his work boots.I received the boots within a few days, and gave them to my dad, who slipped his feet in and lit up. I checked in a few days later and he said they're so perfect he almost doesn't want to wear them to work - they're just too nice. I did see he wore them to church a few days ago. The impossible to satisfy was finally satisfied by these boots - so I HIGHLY recommend these to any man looking for a comfortable, durable, attractive classic leather boot.The price is a great deal, and you're not cutting corners. This is a quality product.

Nice boots, but they are NOT very durable. My first pair started to fall apart after 6 months, with some care I got about a year out of them. My second pair is holding up so far.

Have had them for about a week and have worn them in both jeans and business casual work wear. They look sharp, but don't scream cowboy boot. Fit is as expected for boots and they are very comfortable. Wearing a pair of boot or athletic socks, they feel custom made for my feet. Can't speak to how they will hold up over time, but they appear to be very well made using thick high quality leather. Planing to order a black pair too.

Purchased this pair in addition to two other pairs in other colors I already owned. Ariat quality and confort, as expected, comfortable right out of the box. My only issue was that this pair (in black) seemed to be a thinner leather than my other pairs, which was suprising. Would still recommend, as I wear one pair of Ariats or the other every day. They go with pretty much everything I wear, casual to dressy, and are more comfortable to walk in than running shoes, believe it or not. I have no arches to speak of, and have to be selective about footwear.

These are fantastic boots. Nothing fancy, nice sole, and true to size. Can be worn casually or dressed up, also, airport friendly. If you can, try a pair on somewhere, but you can't beat the price here. If you're looking for a nice casual black roper, get em'.

Overall I'm pleased. Got the 2EE which is really only 1E. Fit all of my foot well except the heel area is not as snug as the rest. The shank is very large and I have big calves. Made a lot of noice walking because the open area would slap the inside of my jeans. The sole is very comfortable. Could wear for 14-16 hrs without having the "can't wait to take off" urge. No blistering at all either. The side pipeing didn't dig into my ankles either.

I sent these boots back, they were a bit small for my normal size, but I could tell they would not be comfortable regardless. The leather was incredibly stiff. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I bought another pair that was comfy right out of the box and couldn't be more pleased with them.
