I'm always leary buying footwear on line but these boots are a great fit for the money. They feel broke in from the get go, they look great (according to my wife) and are reasonably priced.
I got a pair of these boots as a gift about 10 years ago. I was very impressed with the quality, fit and ruggedness. After another pair of boots I was still wearing (alternating days between them and the Twisted X to give them a chance to dry out) wore out, I bought a second pair of the Twisted X boots, to make two. Now I switch back and forth between two pairs of identical boots each day. Finally, the first pair of Twisted X wore out, so I bought my third pair, and switch between the second and third. When I wear out one of those, I'll get another pair. The leather of the outside is super tough. Many other boots I've had have developed cracks where the leather flexes at the ball of my foot. These boots do not. The sole is really good too. Durable, and I really like the tread. Just a little bit of shape molded in for traction in all situations, but it isn't so aggressive that they collect a lot of mud. I almost never have to take these boots off to come indoors regardless of the weather. The inside is very good too. Insulated and comfortable, with fairly durable fabric. I tend to wear boots out from the inside along the sides of my heals. That eventually happens with these boots too, but it takes longer than with other boots. I love the way they fit my feet too. Comfortable from day 1. I'll keep buying these as long as they keep making them. And I hope that continues for a long time.
Everyday wear
I ordered a size 11EE as that is the size of my old worn out pair. I have worn them three days and they absolutely squeeze the hell out of my feet. My old pair that I have worn for more than 2 years fit my feet perfectly from day one with no problems. Also the new pair were supposed to be steel toe and they are not! Until this pair Twisted X boots have been the most comfortable boots I have ever worn! I am very displeased in this pair!
These boots fit perfectly and feel great. I will recommend these to anyone looking for comfort.
I’ve never worn a wide(EEE) before, but I could not get regular to fit. The wide was perfect most comfortable boot I’ve ever had wore them on day one for over 10 hours absolutely no complaints.
These are the most comfortable boots I have found. They run large so check the size. i normally wear 15 EEE or 15 EEEE. In these I wear a 14 EE and it is a good fit. Takes a little time to break them in. This is my 2nd pair in the square toe, 3rd pair of Twisted X, all based on the fit and comfort. If you are on your feet all day, these are the ones to have. The insoles are a comfortable foam insert but they don't last forever. Fortunately replacement insoles are available. I could not find Twisted X replacement insoles in my size (14 EE) on Amazon but did find them at another retailer. The insole seems to capture most of the moisture from inside the boot so removing the insole after wearing the boot keeps them dry and comfortable day to day. I have another pair, safety toe, with 2 years of day to day wear on the clock, all kinds of conditions, and they have held up. A tear started behind the composite toe early on but I was able to repair it. This type of failure is common with the safety toe so I do not consider it a defect of the boot.
Can wear all day. Look great and feel great.
