This is one of the best work boots that I’ve ever had. They provide comfort, safety, and a great look. I am a huge fan of the Timberland Pro Series work boots! If you’ve never have this series a try, stop what you’re doing and do so immediately. They are that good!!
These boots are amazing in every sense of the word. But before I get into way, let me preface this with a couple of things...1. I do not wear these for a living. I wear them because they offer great ankle support, are incredibly comfortable and look great with jeans, slacks and even shorts if that is your look.2. I am fortunate enough to have a Boot Barn close to me so I was able to go and try these on before buying them.3. I've only had them for a couple of days. These boots are an amazing buy for their price point. They are sturdy, high quality, comfortable and great looking shoes. They are lightweight for a work boot, they form to my fat foot like a glove, handle my weird foot/step rotation and stay secure on my foot without any movement. They are easy to get on and off and pretty much come broken in. There is nothing that I can find wrong with these boots. One thing I want to point out... I am a 12 wide. Often times that means that a 12 regular will fit me but will look like a ball trying to escape a thin sheet of wet paper because the laces will not close the shoe well enough. These are no exception. If you wear a wide shoe, buy the wide shoe. Also, these run about a half size large, so unless you plan to put insoles in these (which you don't really need to do) or you plan to wear thick wool socks (which you might need to do), buy a half size smaller than you normally wear. And if you are not used to wearing a boot over the ankle, you might want to give yourself a couple of days of wearing these around the house to get used to them. They are not like high tops... these are ankle boots and they feel like it. They are tight, secure and ungiving... all qualities you want in a quality boot. But they can take some getting used to if these aren't something you normally wear. If you do wear ankle boots normally, these shouldn't even be something you notice.Overall I would say if you are considering getting a composite safety boot, these should definitely be on your list of things to consider. They are well worth it in my opinion.
My husband has purchased these every year for three years now. He is required to wear steel toed boots daily and this boot is so comfortable that he often times wears them on the weekend, too. HIGHLY recommend!
I work on 300 foot towers and have been using these boots for over 6 months; I will buy these again when they fail in a couple of years.Size:Timberland run bigger than most other boots in my experience and after trying on at retail store I bought a size down. They also offer wide sizes which is a big plus for me.Comfort:Out of the box they are very comfortable, the insert is very good quality. I have worked 12+ hours on my feet and they feel great at the end of the day. However; I went on a hike in them the first day and the rear heel shank on the left boot gave me a lot of discomfort, but hasn't bothered me since. I don't recommend hiking in them.Durability:The soul is coming off around the edges, and the red tread on the bottom is starting to peel off, but can be glued back. The leather on the steel toe seems to get chewed up faster than the rest of the boot but it hasn't split open yet. I don't expect the boot to last more than a couple of years but I would buy again since there is no break in time.Very comfortable, but kind of pricey for something that doesn't feel built to last.
I just ordered my 4th pair from Amazon since I started wearing these in 2014.I wear then every day at work in commercial construction and they last great and feel great.I always keep two pair and alternate each day.The older pair I currently have are finally showing some splits along the sole. Looking at my Amazon history, I ordered that pair in 2016. Pretty good lifespan for a boot that gets worn 2 or 3 days a week in harsh conditions.
I wore my first pair of these boots for 5 years and only replaced them so I could have a pair of boots for around the house. These are so comfortable and I wear these a lot of times instead of my tennis shoes. The sizes are spot on and just wonderful boots.
I am on my 7th pair of these boots over the last 10 or so years. I test concrete, soil and asphalt among other things so I get these COVERED in concrete and mud on a daily basis. I have had a few 30 lb concrete test cylinders fall off a cart about 18" onto the toes and not felt a thing. These boots get chewed up pretty good on sharp objects and hold up well. I have only had one pair of boots fall apart at the seams after 1.75 years and that was about 2009. I usually replace them once every year to year and a half because the leather itself gets too chewed up and they look too ugly or they start to smell from being wet too often. The laces were pretty cheap back in the day and would break after 6 months, but they seem to have fixed that. And I still haven't found ANY boot other than Merrill hiking boots that really make it easy to stand in day after day. These are pretty good, but I still eventually end up putting some sort of gel insert in them. Then I am good to go for another 6 months. I do like the softer leather and the low cut upper section on the back by the achilles heel that allows for a tight fit and lots of movement. I usually have to put some brown shoe polish on every 3 months to help make them last. And that yellowish decorative yellow line on the sole usually falls off after a year, but it doesn't affect performance at all. I bought my last pair on here about a year ago for only $92, MUCH cheaper than the like $140+ Sears wants for them, but I see now the price right now is around $130. If you can get them for around $100, TOTALLY worth it. I am hoping for a last minute Christmas sale!
