We have three dogs, and I wanted to find some year-round shoes or low boots that were impervious to backyard mud, slush, and water and could be hosed off quickly and easily when necessary. I discovered these Baffin low boots after trying and returning several other brands, and they really fill the bill. The fit is good, and the loops at the heel make it easy to pull them on quickly over socks. Most important, the bottom tread is simple vertical indentations, rather than a complicated grid-type sole. This means they don't collect mud, etc., in nooks and crannies, a real bonus when cleaning up after animals. My only minor beef with these shoes is that they're very heavy and tend to want to pull away from my narrow heels. Socks help, and I only wear the low boots out in the yard, so their weight is more an annoyance than a real issue for me. Walking a long distance in them would be a different story. Overall, a great find at a reasonable price.
