Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
I usually wear a 9 to 9.5 but these Doc Martins i take a size 8. after wearing for a week they are the BEST work boots i have ever owned. usually you have to break in a new pair of boots not these they just feel Great from the Start and are So Conformable i would highly recommend them. i work on Tug boats and the Forestry field and i have tried Many other brands from Keens to Romeos or other more expensive brands and these are by far the BEST Feeling and Fitting boots i have ever owned.
I purchased my first pair of these on Feb. 28, 2019. Today, Feb. 29, 2020, I'm purchasing a second pair. I work in an industrial setting and walk between 7 and 12 miles a day (depending on the day), these are only now beginning to break down. I've worn workboots from other companies and never gotten more than 6 months out of them. These have lasted and are very comfortable. Definitly recommend!
Fun work boots
I'm not a big fan of work boots, they always seem to be heavy and never seem to fit just right, but i've always just found the most comfortable and went with it. So, I went with these and thought what the heck, I'll give them a try, I have a wide foot and my employer pays for a new pair every year. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!! Comy from day1, no killer break in days!!! I always heard these were great, but i had no idea they were like walking on air. I work for a large pkg delivery service ( you know, one of the big ones) and I walk and run all day, jump in and out of a truck 150 times a day and my feet feel good at the end of the day instead of painful and sore.
Great product
I wear a 9.5 Wide boot normally. I purchased the 9 as directed in the size guide. They are a little tight not bad though. I am breaking them in now before wearing them all day.
I’m a meat cutter in a busy grocery store. These are absolutely perfect! I got some mink oil to help keep them waterproof, and the slip-proof feature has been a life saver. The steel toes are also a nice bonus. Perfect for everything at work.
I am mainly I'm dirt and snow but the sole of these boots is nearly gone in less than a year. I had hoped for better
