Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
These are real Doc Martens. Not the UK made, obviously with this price. They do not come in the Doc Marten boxes, it may be straight from the Vietnamese factory (exactly where the Martens you get in the store come from, UK made are not the norm anymore). It's real leather, the soles are the Doc Marten classic . Some slight inconsistency in the yellow stitching (aesthetic only and in the arch of the foot). These are my first new Martens in over 10 years. For this price it can't be beat for new leather. Very solid boots. Going to take a while to break in.
I’m a size 7.5 on all shoes I wear and bought a 7 on these and it fits perfect. I still have a little room for thick socks to be snug. If you have very wide feet then you might find it a little snug and if you have very narrow feet you might find it with a little bit of room. I feel it fits me perfect and it’s very comfortable. The color is just gorgeous! It’s very cushiony to walk on them. I’m totally in love with them.
This is my first pair of non Made in England docs- had difficulty finding new that fit. I’ve always been a UK5 which is unisex, but there seems to be men/womens differences in the new runs. THESE FIT TRUE TO SIZE. The leather is a lot thinner so will (I’m assuming) not last as long but I will say to their credit THEY FEEL AMAZING OUT OF THE BOX! NO MORE BREAKING IN AND BLEEDING HEELS!!
I really wanted a pair of these but wasn't sure what size to buy. I'm a true woman US size 6, normally a EU 36 sizing. However, Dr. Martens come in Unisex & Woman sizes which gives different widths/lengths. Example: In the Unisex version I fit in a 4M/5W, EU36. Those are made a tad bit wider. In the Women's version I fit in a 6, EU 37. Those are made a tad bit more narrow. Also, wanted to mention for ladies who want these boots to look more feminine buy the 1460 Pascal. Those aren't as bulky as other models. One last thing. Dr. Martens offers many styles in different types of leather, which will affect how comfortable they are right out of the box in their flexibility. Ambassador = Thick soft pebbled leather. Virginia = Very Thin extra soft lightly pebbled leather. Wanama = Thin soft Smooth leather. I ended up keeping the Wanama boots because they were the goldilocks of them all!
I love the attention I get when people tell me “oh I love your Doc Martens”. A pain to lace up but they are boots so what can I expectVery good quality
This is my first pair of Dr Martens. Always wanted them. They fit a little big, so if you're a half size, I would go down. Loving these boots! Took about a week to stretch them. I would recommend heavy socks, band aid, moleskin or those blister guards. I really like the shoestrings with the metal ends, but they do not stay tied at well as other shoe strings might.
They look great. If you have narrow to reg width great buy. Just too tight for me.
After years of buying similar (non doc) boots and then they fall apart. Decided to finally buy the real thing. They are great!! Took a little bit to break them in. But now they are my favorites!!! I know they will last for years. Worth the $$$
