I love these so much! Beautiful, hearty. Break in period (wear double socks…long ones) for the 1st week.
Very stiff and run small
I was skeptical because of the sizing. I ordered these using ‘try before you buy’ so I can figure it out. I’ve owned docs in the past and have been a solid UK7 or women’s 9. But I was worried that it would be too big. Tried the UK6 and it was way too small and tight. So I went with the 7.As always with docs, they seem uncomfortable at first try but you have to break them in. It is wider in the toe box so that is helpful for me (slightly flat footed myself). I wear them with thick socks with no issues. After the walk in period, they are comfortable. Easy to put on and pull off. The leather seems solid.So my advice: try various sizes before deciding.
The 2 things I know more than most people are LEATHER & DR MARTIN'S. These are NEITHER, even though the ad here claims that they are Dr Martin's and 100% Leather. 80-85% of my closet is Leather items (and I own 6 pairs of Dr Martin's!) These boots neither look, feel, NOR smell Leather! To top it off, they don't even have the proper markings! This is a classic bait-and-switch scam at it's most basic level! I'm extra angry, because right now I'm bed ridden with a spinal cord injury, so i can't just pop off to the UPS store on my way to work!
