Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
I got these as a Christmas present from my Boyfriend. They're so nice. I typically wear a size 9 1/2 to 10. He got a size 10 since boots are usually tight compared to other footwear. They are a little big though. A 9- 9 1/2 would have been better. I still love them and wear them I just have to wear really thick socks. Other than that they are perfect. Very good quality. The leather is soft and smooth. The top edges are soft and don't rub. The boots have more shine to them then the picture suggests but aren't like a high polish, kind of in the middle of matte and shiny. I absolutely love my new boots!
Really like these boots! Just tall enough and comfortable. Easy to put on/take off even though no hooks (but metal loops that I was worried about.) Get compliments all the time. Soft leather and sturdy yet stylish.
These are SO comfortable AND they look AMAZING! They are absolutely wonderful! Definitely worth the money.
i got these shoes for my boyfriends birthday and he loved them! theyre very durable, comfortable and surprisingly light. the sizing was accurate, the only thing (which is probably our fault) is that the buckle broke after a few uses, but the boots themselves are perfect!
Have worn Dr Marten's for 35 years...These boots run true to size FOR A QUALITY SHOE, meaning, if you wear a ladies 10.5 you don't round up, round down.. The foot bed is more narrow than the traditional Docs and the arch support is HIGH but I still think they feel good..I bought these boots for riding my motorcycle and they are worth every penny. Excellently made, awesome quality leather upper. The soles are flat, keeping my feet planned at stops and they fit well on my foot pegs.. The arch support comes in handy, as I swear it helps level my foot while straddling my bike at stops, BUT I personally wouldn't want to walk in them all day (as I do with other Docs).I like them enough, that I will buy another pair (in pink confetti) to trade out between rides.
These are my new favorite pair of boots. They’re comfortable and I love the look of them.
I have been wearing Docs since 2008 and overall. the Combs Tech boots fit so good with no break in. I would definitely recommend these. Even with these as most doc wearers know to downsize, because they will stretch a little to form fit your foot.
I got the size 7 (EU 37). I know I fit the EU 37 size pretty well. I’m more of a 7 1/2 in US. When I first put them on, they felt pretty tight and bit in on the top of my foot where the tongue seam connects to the toe box. So I really worried if I had the right size. But then I change from my running shoe sock to a dress sock and they felt pretty good. They are a little stiff and will probably take the usual Doc Marten break in time but I wore them the next day for several hours and then the next day for about 4-5 hours, with a lot of standing. My feet were a little bruised feeling when I took them off but they were fine the next day. I’m nearing 50 and my feet are very picky. I was hoping to have some extra room in the Docs in case I wanted to add a supportive insole at some point. But so far that doesn’t seem necessary. They are quite comfy for standing. And right now I’d have to remove the original sole in order to fit an insole in there, and it would probably be too tight anyway. So in conclude, I LOVE THEM. They really feel great and they look FANTASTIC. The shiny patent leather look is slick and gorgeous. I was a little sad about not having more “I’m wearing Docs” flare but I really like the black stiching and black sole. They are slick. Highly recommend.
