I am only 5'7" tall and my wife is 5'5". She actually bought these for me. I was a bit surprised but I put them on anyways. They look good and they do make me a couple inches taller. I would not recommend them for basketball or a ten mile hike but for daily use, they are fine.
I didn't quite know what to expect with these shoes.I have way more respect for my wife now. They are not the most comfortable as my foot is shoved down to the toe area and the place where they lace up doesn't quite open up enough to make them comfortable for my feetThey do make you taller. It was a strange feeling to be taller than my son for once. LOLI'm not gonna say they look like normal tennis shoes but I think you could get away without people knowing what you are wearingI don't know how long I could wear them for as again, it's like wearing stilettos. There is a serious down angle inside the shoe. The jury is out on these shoes.
I have another pair of CALTO shoes that are dress shoes with a lower lift and more gradual angle, and these ones do feel more like high heels, with a pretty steep angle on the inside. They really do add 4 inches to your height though. I would recommend going up 1/2 size if you can because your feet may slide forward in these. I would normally order a 6.5 but 7 is actually perfect for this reason. These shoes are a bit heavy and chunky on the foot. You will walk with a rocking motion. I do think that for the money the insoles could have been a bit cushier. I would not want to walk in these all day. They aggravate my knee arthritis some.I suggest wearing these with wide leg pants that are a 3 or 4 inch longer inseam than you would normally wear, it covers up the top and then these look just like normal shoes and no one will have any idea these are elevators. The soles are decently grippy and the shoes feel stable. The styling is pretty good, kind of a retro hip-hop style. I did have some small amount of yellow stains near the laces, as pictured, but it's not something one would notice from a distance. While these are mildly uncomfortable I don't think it's different to other lifts and these are pretty nicely constructed overall, they have a robust feel.
These shoes are a very cool design that is also comfortable. The sole provides good support and give an extra inche in height, the view is different from up here and the shoe fits well and standard for U.S. sizes. The shoe is well made of durable materials and we have no issues with this shoe.
Too small. Not very comfortable. Awkward to walk in.
awesome way to get a different level of elevation without being so obvious.
This shoe looks great in theory, but it did not materialize in practice. It is a bit tight, which means you should buy a bit larger size (half a size) when you purchase yours. Also, it is hard to balance as the bottom of your foot is high above the ground. It will give you the boost you want, but with a price.
I love the design of these but takes some time to get used to. Walking down hills is quite painful. One of the reasons I originally decided to get these because of how I drive. I like having the seat far away from the steering wheel but then my feet cant reach all three of the pedals especially the clutch pedal. After using these with driving my car, it was a little difficult changing gears because these shoes seem to be very wide even though they do not look wide. Because of that my feet were touching multiple pedals. You may have a little trouble at first when driving with these shoes. Other than that, they look and feel great to wear apart from having to get used to walking in them.
