I’ll start by saying I got these for $75 from Amazon Warehouse. I suggest you check there before paying full price for anything. The warehouse can be hit or miss, but you can still return items for free returns with Prime. I got lucky with these and they came in the original packaging and with zero signs of wear.As for fit, I got my normal size (US10), the length and width were perfect but there was so much extra room above my toes and top of my foot, and my heel was lifting in the back when I walked because there was too much extra space. I only have experience with military combat boots but I have never had an issue with boots being too tall before. I also noticed the outside of the boots above my ankles were started to fold inward and creating a deep crease in the leather because of the poor fit. I ended up buying some cheap orthotics ($14) from WalkHero and now the boots fit perfectly. They gave me that extra height needed to fill the gap. If you have the same issue, I suggest adding in an orthotic or you’ll end up with horrible blisters and the boots will become misshaped over time. They are super comfortable now and didn’t require any breaking in time. These are my new go-to for winter footwear and I’m glad I got them over Dr Martens.
They took about a week for me to break them in but are so comfy, high quality leather and I love the small pocket at the ankle. It's perfect for keeping my id and cards when I want to go out and not carry a purse.
These boots are true to size! Order your normal sneaker/boot size! Normal width as well. I am typically a 7.5 because of the width of my foot, I ordered a 7 based on reviews, I wish I had ordered a 7.5. The leather does break in after a few hours, they soften up and become very comfortable. YOU NEED AN INSOLE FOR EXTENDED WEAR TIME. These have no cushion or arch support from the factory. I got $10 insoles from rite aid and these boots are so comfortable! I took my MSF BRC course in these boots. I was in them for 16+ hours in 95°F heat over the weekend and they are awesome for riding! I am excited to continue riding in them but they are also stylish enough to wear out as a cute fall boot. I highly recommend these boots. No blisters from breaking in as long as you tie them snug so they don't slide around. Very happy with my purchase and so much cheaper than the dealer!
These boots are extremely comfortable and look great! Can't go wrong with Harley boots.
I love boots, let me tell you. I really favor the side-zip kind and these caught my eye when I was looking around for a shorter pair I could wear under and over various kinds of pants.First let me say straight away, they run big. I've been buying size 8 shoes/boots FOR YEARS and the size 8 felt a full size too large. I went down to a 7.5 and it fits fine. I probably could have even wore a 7.The boot has laces but once adjusted, you will be putting them on and off with a side zipper. I personally love this style. The zipper goes up and down easy and it stays up when it should. Update: after wearing them a while, I would suggest changing out the laces. They simply do not stay tied and pop off the hooks when taking it on and off, which defeats the purpose of having a side-zip. I've never had this trouble with Dr Martens anyway.I bought the brown version and although it's a very dark brown, it looks good. It has little tags that have the Harley wording on it on the zipper tag, the lace hooks say Harley on it and there is a tag on the laces with the branding! The side pockets on each boot are pretty sweet. They are not for decoration, and can easily hold money or a credit card though something non-flexible like a license or credit card would probably not be comfortable since it's against your ankle bone. Paper money should be fine. This boot has a slight heel but gosh the whole thing just feels rugged but still cute. I would suggest a good sock with them, though. You won't be able to get away with a bare foot or a low sock in these. The ankle shaft is lined but not cushioned so you'll need your sock to deal with that. That being said, I wore them all over the house today testing them out, and then went out biking/walking my dog. Update: After wearing them on a 3 mile walk with my dog, I would also suggest changing out the sole. It is VERY THIN and not at all comfortable. I added a picture of the orange sole vs a blue gel insert. Your feet will thank you, really it's night and day. But otherwise, they look super sharp wearing skinny jeans or leggings! The price on Amazon was amazing too! I just hope if they update this style they put in a better sole, better laces, and pad the inner boot shaft.
I have a quasi-labor intensive career and am always on the look out for a well-made pair of boots that can transition from working hard to looking good. These are they. I purchased these for an upcoming trip abroad, as I rely predominantly on public transportation and my feet to get around when I travel. While not Siberia, I hear that Seoul in December is still pretty cold, so I wanted a pair of sturdy boots that would be warm, relatively weather-proof, have good anti-slip soles, and could stand up to wandering around a hilly country in the Winter. I was fortunate to find a pair on Amazon Warehouse for a significant discount, which was the main factor in this purchase, after potential usage. So far, these boots do NOT disappoint. The leather is extremely supple, to the point where they barely (if at all) need breaking in. While they do seem to run a little large, as mentioned in several other reviews, the extra space is just right for thick socks, while not being so much that my feet rattle around inside them. The biggest thing to adjust to (for me) is the thick sole and heel height, both of which are a bit taller than what I'm used to. The added 1" - 1.5" to my height is a little weird, but the boots make it extremely comfortable. Even though I did not pay full price, they would still be worth the MSRP.
